Girls + Sun + Sea + Sand + Shop = Fun + Tired
August 1, 2007  |  The Family, Travel Guide  |  Cousin, outing, sentosa

#$$#%^@%$^@%^@%&^@$#!!!!!

Sorry, I just had to do that! Caused I’d spent the last 45 mins typing and inserting photos and my stupid mouse just had to go the wrong way and clicked on the BACK arrow!! Waaaa!!! So now… restarting…

WARNING! This post is image instensive! Happy scrolling!

With jw’s school holiday coming to an end, ahxin’s working life coming soon and me hopefully returning back to work soon, we decided to go out for some fun. We had planned for this day 2 weeks ago and we had been waiting eagerly for today to come (31 July). It was a super fun and tiring day. Lots of photos were taken and here are the 10% of them… will talk about the with the photos… (cos photos tell a thousand words… *doh*)

Our plan was to head to Sentosa to check out their latest attractions and also to go walk around since we had not been there for a long long time. But with the recent crazy weather, we were trying to come up with Plan B in case it starts to rain. And plan B, of cos was to go shopping… but in the end, we managed to accomplish both plans! Ha!

So here’s what happened today…

We started off at Vivocity for lunch at 12pm.
Modesto’s having 1-for-1 promo for UOB cardmembers…
We ordered 2 items… (1-4-1 mah!)

this was yummy! We love mushrooms!!

this was… so-so.

We bought these at $3 each

and headed to our destination on SEX! (Sentosa Express)

We saw this…

and we thought this is their latest attractions!

We started our adventure…

on a not-so-adventurous ride

As planned, we bought tickets for Luge & Skyride rides… $16 for 3x the fun!

Us in the ugly looking helmet, getting ready to Luge-away!

And the return trip up was on the Skyride…

Scary at first, but pretty cool after awhile.
Not for the weak-hearted.

Since cafe del mar wasn’t quite within our budget,
we stood outside and posed for shots…

but suddenly…

a huge group of people started charging towards us!

Later we found out they were there for their Orientation.

After the charging was over,
I had a little rocking moment…

We wanted to take photos together, but no one was in sight to help…

with a little help from the lifeguard post and the camera timer…

we managed to get some shots on our own

we also felt jumpy so we jumped!

we jumped…

and we jumped…

and we jumped again!!

Feeling tired and hungry after all the jumping,

we took a break at New Zealand Natural

We paid for our ice-cream and smooties

then we sat and enjoyed the desserts and the sea and the wind…

After an hour of resting, we wanted to take this

but it was again not budgeted, so we just took photo with it

I was very full after the desserts, but they weren’t…

ahxin was still very hungry…

she tried so hard to bite off from the fake giant papaya!

Feeling hot and sweaty, we hid inside Images of Singapore to cool down

We saw some cute vintage toys while cooling down

Later, we had fun imitating the lead of Songs of the Sea

While waiting for SEX to arrive at the Beach Station,
we took some shots…

and we promised not to talk to anyone about what we did today…

(Nope! I didn’t talk about it! I just typed and posted on my blog!)

Just trying to be silly…

After saying bye to Sentosa, we headed town for Plan B! Shopping! And look what I got from Tangs!

I just couldn’t resist myself, the packaging is so cool! I told myself I just need to get them! After understanding about the various products from the lady, I bought dr.feelgood and some-kind-a-gorgeous. These two items burnt a $120 big hole in my wallet! And now, my cousins and I are already planning to order online for more! (It’s sooo much cheaper to buy online! Go check out their website.

We also went to Paragon to get some shopping done and finally settled for dinner at Food Republic (Wisma) at 7.30pm. Just when we were about to finish eating our food, I saw this behind me!

The very interesting things about this Kueh Tutu is they have durian filling tutu!! OMG! Our favourite durian!! How can we not give it a try?

This is it! The durian kueh tutu…

filled with fresh hot durians! Mmmmm…

With all the yummy food from Food Republic, we ended our day. Went on our sepearate ways home…

It was definetly a great day out with my lovely and dearest cousins! Love ya both lots! Looking forward to our next meeting on Friday at Geek Terminal! And this time, on a more serious business… hee.

(If you’re reading this, thanks for scrolling down this long post of photos. Your finger must be tired. Take a break. Massage it a little. And when its not that painful, you can click on the comments link and leave a note or say hi or tell me how much you hate these photos… *haheho*)

If you're reading a post and see a missing photo message from flickr like this...

don't post comment to ask why. I blame it on the stupid sync on iPhoto!
