Live from BarcampSG3 at Ngee Ann Polytechnic

February 28, 2009  |  Live Coverage  |  barcampsg3, event, live, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Preetam Rai  |  No Comments

Morning fellow campers, participants, friends and foes! It’s the morning of Barcamp SG!! I’m sure now, Preetam and his group of volunteers are setting up and making sure everything is in order. While I’m on my way to Clementi now, in the train. Hope I can get there by 9am.

I will try my best to do some live blogging throughout the day and perhaps if voters voted, I may do one impromptu session to talk about “Live Blogging”! Hmm… imagine doing that and live blogging at the same time!! Hohoho!!

Right, time now on my mac is 8.20am. I’ve 40mins to get down there in time. I’ll be back once I reach NP.

Oh wait! Yap! The Red is with me today! Come meet her and take a photo k?

Alright… looks like I’ll be twittering and flickering instead!! Follow the action at #barcampsg3!

Have you seen the red?

February 26, 2009  |  Tech & Gadgets, Wishlist  |  HP, HP mini 1000, intel, IwantHP, moblog, Samsung Innov8, seeing red  |  2 comments

I’d said once twice before that I’m wanting this HP designer laptop!! But I’m going to say it again for the third (but surely not my last) time! I want this sexy Vivienne Tam hp mini!!

Thanks to the kind people at Intel, I’m able to hold it, play with it, use it, adore it, hug it, love it, flaunt it and even sleep with this hot babe! (For a week) And because I’m loving it so much, I thought why not spread some love around the people I meet too!

So here’s the thing, if you’re going to meet me anytime this week (till Tuesday), you’ll get to touch it, play with it, lick it, smell it and take a photo with it! If you’re going to be seeing this hot red babe, I’m going to take a photo of you with the red and you’ll join in the album of “Seeing red“! This is just something fun I want to do. It has got nothing to do with Intel, HP nor any agency.

Where you can find Claudia for the next few days…

  • Today (Thu): 7pm at the social media people meetup
  • Fri: Should be at office (Call me to check)
  • Sat: BarcampSG
  • Sun: Sorry its family and friends day
  • Mon: At office (Come visit me)
  • Tue: At office (Can come visit me also)

Hmm… wonder if Intel will allow me to hang on to it for another week so I can bring this red to BlogOUT too!

Here are some friends who’ve seen, felt and played with the red…

Diana

Brennan

Amelia

They’ve seen the red. Have you?

Oh! And yes! This post is created on the red too!!

CtG: Emporio Armani + Samsung

February 23, 2009  |  Reviews, Tech & Gadgets  |  CtG, Emporio Armani, Gadget, Handphone, mobile, Nikon D40, review, samsung, Samsung M7500  |  2 comments

Put Armani and Samsung together and you get this…

Samsung M7500

Slim sexy white (or black) Emporio Armani phone with flashing luminous light that’s great for clubs and the dance floor. The side with the branding is where the lights illuminate. There’s green, blue and red.

Not quite the type of phone I would use. But well, I’m sure there are a market for such fashionable and head-turning phone. Especially with this sexy logo of GA at the back!

The soft-to-the-touch, rubber-like feel and texture which was supposed to give it a more senses touch, to my bf, it made it feel almost like a toy. (What an expensive and branded toy!)

If you’re into the looks, branding and touch of phones, than this Emporio Armani phone is for you. The keypad is flat but feels silky when touched. Perhaps the best feature of this phone imo is the touch of the center button. Don’t ask me why, but I just can’t stop feeling it! *hmmm*

What’s an entertainment phone with no multimedia control buttons? These aren’t missing from this slim phone. On the right side of the phone, you can find these…

The Music Hotkeys

And did I mention that you can use your sexy earpiece with this too? It supports the standard 35mm jack.

More information about the phone from the official website…

Specially designed with unique EA logo and fonts, the deep black graphic user interface employs premium 2.2-inch 256K advance AMOLED display technology to offer pure visual delight. Go beyond conventional LCD-based GUI, for blacks that are blacker, whites that are whiter and razor-sharp contrasts that are absolutely stunning.

One feature to highlight is the music recognition (which I also witnessed similar feature on the HTC Dream phone at the Android launch)

Advanced music recognition feature lets you instantly identify any song, anywhere. Simply hit record for a few seconds, send your recorded clip to the SHAZAM server and voila! Within seconds you’re provided with the artist and title of the song, and a link that connects you directly to an online music store.

This phone comes in very nice packaging of course!

This phone can be found at Samsung.

Claud the Panda Entrepreneur @.@

February 21, 2009  |  The Entrepreneur  |  CTE, entreprenuer, journey, Work Related  |  No Comments

If you’re wondering what’s happening to Claudia lately, than this post is for you!

Before I share my story, let me introduce a new banner (section) to the already messy blog…

Yap! That’s right! This is where I will share about my experience, pain, sorrow, excitement, journey, happiness, story and so on with you (whoever you are). Since I’m only a couple of months into my journey as an entrepreneur, I’m sure this section will be an extensive collection of experiences and stories that perhaps one day, someone somewhere might be keen to help me publish it into a book! Than I might become the next Guy Kawasaki? *blank stare at myself*

Right, so why is Claudia, the already panda, becoming even more like a panda with double punch on the eyes? That’s because starting up is NOT easy! If you read anywhere telling you how easy it is to start your own business, its all bull shitake (ref to @guykawasaki)! Especially the part where you start forming your team, getting your developers and the non-developers in sync to work on the big picture, setting up the accounts, settling down in the office, building up your leads, meeting people, pitching ideals, sending that first service order and so much more!!

That’s what I’d been doing for the past one month, almost 24hours 7 days a week! That causes me to lose my radiance and adding more darkness to my already dark panda eyes. As witnessed by my team who are seeing me turn more and more chao lao as the days passes! I think I might look like this even before I’m 60!

But I’ve to admit, no other job will ever beat the kind of excitement and rush one gets for starting up on its own! And I’m very grateful to have a great team to work with. And also am very blessed to have met the many angels and saints that I’ve befriend. All your support and encouragement means a lot to me and my team.

If you’re interested to find out the real life experience of an entrepreneur who’s thirsty for survival and hunger for success, than come back for more from Claud the Entrepreneur (aka CTE!! How interesting!). The journey on CTE is never a smooth going one. There might be breakdowns along the way, jam that goes on and on during peak hours, the occasional slow moving traffic and time at night where you see speeding cabs and vehicles dashing to who-knows-where for who-knows-what.

I will be back (whenever I can) to share bite size stories with you. Till than, look out for a few to-be-typed and published reviews. Hope I can squeeze time out between work and rest over the weekend to get these reviews out.

Let’s Talk About Sex! (For females only!)

February 18, 2009  |  Beauty Guide, Happenings  |  Beauty Guide, event, Female, Free, HPB, lets talk about sex, Samsung Innov8, Truly Gorgeous, Vivo City  |  13 comments

I’m sooo behind time and I’m sacrificing my limited time tonight, in between a proposal, to get this up so that you ladies out there won’t miss it. I always stand by the phrase “Good things must share!” So here… I’m sharing Sex with you my lady friends. (Cause internet is for porn!)

For females only! Head down to Vivo City by 21 Feb 2009 and discover what true inner beauty is! This is one of those time where you leave your bf, steady, husband and guy friends outside while you and your girlfriends spend some time pampering yourself. And best of all its FREE! (Don’t you just like that word?) Got free goodie bag too! Which comes pack with discount vouchers, free trials and a sexy condom too!

This is happening at VivoCity Central Court B, Level 1 from 16 to 21 Feb 2009. This event is brought to you by HPB and sponsored by many many other brands. But that’s not really important. Most important is you get to discover yourself and get FREE stuff! *LOL!*

i WANT this HP designer laptop!

February 17, 2009  |  Tech & Gadgets  |  contest, digital clutch, HP designer laptop, HP mini 1000, IwantHP, moblog, Vivienne Tam  |  No Comments

i WANT this HP designer latop because I’d been imagining holding it in my hands since its launch in Sep 08! 5 months leh!! How can I not be the one who’d been drooling it for the longest time? Yes! I’m doing this! Don’t ask me why! But I want this!

As I’d said in my first post on Vivienne Tam‘s HP mini, I like the sexy design! And from the looks of it, I’ll be loving the feel and texture of it in my hands too! (But sadly, until today, I’ve not seen nor even got close to the real thing yet!) BUT here’s my chance!

Can you imagine Claudia holding one of this??

Hmm… I wonder how I’ll look! If I win this, I’ll have to start dressing more in red and sexy clothes to match my lean sexy machine digital clutch!

Filem Bagus! only at Sinema Old School

February 17, 2009  |  Movie Reviews  |  event, film fest, Indie, Malaysian, Sinema  |  1 Comment

Work’s picking up faster than I’d expected, and there are so many things that I wish I could do but can’t. I’ve started rejecting or even canceling invitations that I really wish to attend. But there’s only 24hr and 7 days in a week. Working at 24seven already is taking up most of my 24/7. From all the many invites I got, for those which I think would be of interest to you (cause they’re to me), I will share them here in my blog still.

If I’d rejected your invites or events, its not that I don’t love you nor I’m not interested. There must be a reason why I’m on your contact or media or blogger list. And that reason is clear – you know I’m keen and interested. So don’t stop inviting if someone turns down the invite once, keep those invitations coming (or going). Unless that person stated clearly that he/she is not keen on your company or product. Than you can perhaps remove them too.

So anyway, here’s one of those events which I would really want to go if I had the time. It’s a showcase of Malaysian Independent Films at Sinema Old School.

Happening from 27th of February to 1st of March of 2009, the inaugural showcase of Sinema’s SinemAsian series on South-East Asian Film will draw upon the indie film scene from Singapore’s closest neighbor – Malaysia. The festival is called Filem Bagus!

Tickets will be priced at $10 each. Group discounts are at $8 per ticket with a minimum of 10 tickets purchased. Season passes are available at $40 where one can catch all 6 films at the price of only 4.

Here’s one of the film I would like to catch if I’m able to… but that weekend’s packed for me already! *sadness* If anyone has caught this show or will be catching it, do share what you think of it k?

Things We Do When We Fall In Love (PG)
This is the second part of James Lee’s Love Trilogy which takes another look at unfaithfulness or rather faithlessness.

The movie follows two unfortunate secret lovers who are constantly looking for a solution to their situation. Both of them are always arguing over their relationship. One day they went to a trip out of the city, into the outskirts. They hope they can solve their problems or at least escape them temporarily. They donʼt have a solution, and they donʼt understand why they are together. One thing that keeps them together is their love and care for each other.

Things We Do When We Fall In Love was also screened in our very own Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF) in 2007.
