BazaaaR Weekend

July 1, 2007  |  Happenings  |  No Comments

Warning!!!
This is going to be an image intensive entry… so… happy scrolling… *evil laugh*

Here’s what happened over the weekend…

Saturday, 30 June @ Mind Cafe, Boat Quay Singapore

Yebber held their very first Fashion Fusion at Mind Cafe, Boat Quay. I was there with Petalthots at Level 2.

The very first person whom we met at Mind Caf was quite a surprise for me… he’s Leon from my sec school. I wasn’t sure if it was him at first, but later he called me and then I realised that he’s the guy in my Sec 1 class whom now doesn’t quite look like what he used to! Guys always change more than gals do. (Concluded after meeting couple of friends from back in BTY.) [Wait! Now that I realised! I forgot to take photos with him and the rest whom we met at Mind Cafe! Haiz...] He’s working with Yebber and was there as the photographer for the event. (BTW, do check out his wonderful collection on flickr! Very good!)

The crowd came pretty slowly, probably due to the location. But overall it was quite a fun day, we met many couple of new friends there… more about them coming up later with the photos… The place was quite small, but its ok lah, considering the fact that its a cafe and the crowd wasn’t packed. Hopefully the next FF Yebber organised would be a at at place with more human traffic. The response will definetly be more than the first one. Great effort was put in by them as they had people giving out phamplets at various nearby stations and places… Sales wasn’t good but think we managed to network with other store owners and we gained publicity in a way lah.

Don’t know what else to write about… so let’s get the photos to do the talking…

Prince Keropok and I will show you around…
This is Level 2 of Mind Cafe… where Petalthots and Felt In Love is located.

This is Valerie, owner and creator of Petalthots, at our little stall.

These are some of the yummilicous creations by me, aka Felt In Love.

Prince Keropok hiding at the corner trying to escape from my camera.
But of cos, failed! Muahahaha!

Yummy Chicken Platter served at Mind Cafe. Crispy and juicy.
But don’t eat too much!

Closer look at the pretty Valerie.

Val’s creations… (those cute little memo pegs at the back are
Felt In Love’s new creations. Cute or not?)

It’s one of the HOTTEST item now!
Only available at China Square Central on every Sunday in July.

Prince Keropok with Val’s niece and nephew.
They’re all so adorable! Love playing with them!

We made Prince Keropok as our model!
This is him with Petalthots pretty bracelet.

And here he’s wearing Felt In Love memo peg and Ola Lola ring.
Green ring on green prince!

This is our neighbour, Ola Lola.
My other sec sch friend is one of the partners.
They’ve pretty cool accessories. Check their site out!

This is Yu Hwa from Sweet Crushes.
It’s her first time at these events. Very sweet, friendly and bubbly girl.

She carries an exclusive Jessica Simpson’s collection from the states.
Very fruity and sweet frangance with no alcohol content! Cool!

And this is ahXin who’s filling her senses with sweetness!

This is another neighbour of ours, from Mandalay Vallery.
They carry exotic accessories and crafts from Myanmar.

Okay, that’s all I have to share on FF by Yebber.com.
This will be me and Prince Keropok signing off.

Sunday @ China Square Central Flea Market, Singapore
It’s my 2nd time at CSC. This time on the ground floor. And here are my conclusions after day 1 of 5…

  1. Ground floor is more spacious as compared to 2nd floor stalls.
  2. Ground floor is warmer than on 2nd.
  3. More uncles on ground floor.
  4. Less young/ working adults on ground floor
  5. More people walk from the escalator to the taxi stand exit.
  6. We’re DOOMED!

We’re praying hard (pls pray for us too) that things will get better next week onwards… below few pics from today…

The Felt In Love display.
Take a closer look at the cute and colorful brooches and pegs.
Some are magnetic too! Great for office or kitchen use!

Pretty handmade accessories by Val.
I like the one closest, with the reindeer.

Phew! Finally finished this super long post. Think its the longest by far for me! Tired and sleepy now. Am going to sleep soon… can’t wait for the sun to rise! Da is going to celebrate my bday with me! And we’re catching Transformers!! FINALLY!!! I’ve been dying to catch the show! And finally after many days of try… I managed to book the tickets online. Nikon BigWalk Shootout ‘06

May 21, 2006  |  Happenings, Her Viewfinder  |  No Comments

It was a fun and crazy morning at TNP Bigwalk 2006! This year’s my first year as a Nikonian at the Bigwalk. Got up at 4am and was out and on the way to Kallang at 5am. Had breakfast at Mac and headed down to Nikon Booth at National Stadium, hoping to get into the first 100 early bird draw. Well, we did got in, but no luck with the draw. :(

There were many many photogs in yellow tee! It seems pretty crazy and am glad that I was given the chance to be part of it. There were many familiar faces whom I met, at least once, from CS. And some, well, I can’t really figure out who they were, but they seem to know me! Hmmm… must be my Pinky:st lah!

Didn’t get to witness the flag off as the group I’m following decided to head down to the U-turn to catch the competitive walkers in action. So off we went in air-con nikon chartered bus… phew! Heavenly feeling man! We were the first group to arrive at One Fullerton and since we were early, some of us decided to fool around and started posing ON the road… which was pretty empty early in the morning. Crazy lot I must say!

Soon after, we saw people walking towards us and all of us got into position… high up on the bridge, lay low on the road and some just stood and waited. The cameras started firing rapidly the moment the walkers approached. Sadly me, I got to stick to my 50mm. The Sigma I bought just not up to the standard with the kind of lighting and angles. So sad… time to upgrade!! Hoho!! After about 30minutes of shooting the walkers, I decided to shoot my Pinky:st! It was a rather painful experience as I got cramps on my shoulders and neck when I positioned myself to shoot them. Ouch! It really hurts bad!

After that, we walked to the pick-up point and head back to the main event area. And at this time, I’ve got Edwin’s very expensive lens on my D70s. It’s the kind of lens that’ll make you die for! ARghhhh!! I want!!! Used the lens to shoot kids and dogs back at the main area. Great lens! Great bokeh! I want! I want! I want! That’ll go into my wish list… who’ll be so kind to buy it for me? Not much lah… around $2.5K only I think… hoho!!

don't post comment to ask why. I blame it on the stupid sync on iPhoto!
