After much delay, finally we managed to find a date for everyone to meet up. We had our first official Yebber Ambassadors get together at Laguna National Golf & Country Club.

This was where we went for lunch

Things We Do in The Car

April 15, 2008  |  Our Girl  |  car, fun, laughter, Our Girl, video  |  No Comments

We had an exciting and fun time in the car on Sunday. It’s just a simple pleasure in life but its so memorable.

All you need is music, your love one and a (video) camera.

Who is minmin?

April 15, 2008  |  Our Girl, The Woman  |  our girl, Personal, The Family  |  7 comments

Some of you must be wondering who Minmin is. If I were to tell the whole story, it’ll probably take me 4 years to do it. So I’m going to sum it up here within 30 mins or more (of typing).

The first time I met Minmin was 4 years ago. She was 2 and still so small and wasn’t aware of the things happening around her. I remember that first day, she cried when I tried to get close to her. She refused to let me carry her. It was hard, for her and for me. But I knew our love will grow as time goes by.

It had been a very tough period from then, up till today. Even though the problem lies with the woman’s side, the loop-sided law still refuses to see things at the bigger picture. Instead of allowing the well educated, stable income and better living that the father can provide, Minmin had to follow the woman. It was painful for him. But there’s nothing much he could do at that point.

The Best Workout! Wii Boxing.

April 14, 2008  |  Our Girl, Tech & Gadgets  |  fun, games, Our Girl, The Family, video, wii  |  3 comments

This was what happened on Saturday night in the living room…

After several games of Wii Sports, my parents tried their hands on Boxing. Dad seemed more like stabbing and jabbing then boxing. So mum decided to show him how it should be done.

Then on Sunday, Minmin’s favorite was also Wii Boxing. She totally enjoyed herself and it sure was a great workout for her.

She Brightens Up Our Life

April 14, 2008  |  Our Girl  |  laughter, love, memories, Our Girl, our girl, Photos, precious  |  10 comments

Its been more than 2 months since we last saw her. We miss her very much. We have always been hoping for a call, from Wed through Fri, that’ll bring some hope for us. Due to the law that’s loop-sided, there wasn’t much we could do. And for the past 2 months, there wasn’t any call that gave us a slight chance of hope.

When Abang told me that we’ll be seeing her this week for a short 6 hours, I started planning how to spend these precious hours with her, cos we never know when we’ll get to see her the next time. And this important plan was almost blown away by the inflexibility of some big organization.

While we were driving up to our meeting point, Abang’s phone rang. My heart stopped. Cos this had happened too many times. And it had always been bad news for us. Alas, it wasn’t what we’d expected. We sighed a sign of relief. We waited for her arrival in front of Yishun 10 at 12pm sharp. After 10 minutes, there wasn’t any sight of her. I started to get worried. When I was about to get Abang to call that woman, I saw a familiar face. One which I’d missed for the past 2 months. I smiled. She has lost some weight and looks even sweeter and lovelier than ever. We united. Finally.

The day passed too fast. We played and enjoyed our precious 6 hours together. Never once I let her out of my sight. I was worried that she would have forgotten about me. But we bonded just like before. I know she love us as much as we love her. The 6 hours was filled with laughter, giggles, hundreds of photos, great time, hugs and kisses. I can still hear her laughter in my ears.

She brightens up our life. Today. And I hope one day, it’ll be everyday.

We love you Minmin!

I Was So Pissed. He Bought Me One!

April 13, 2008  |  The Woman  |  abang, game, love, wii  |  9 comments

As mentioned in my earlier post, I was very upset about not being able to collect my wii prize from SPH today. Abang understand how much I wanted to get it today and so he bought one for me instead! Thank you Abang!!!

Hugging my Wii from my Love

He bought Mario Party 8 too!

We can play Wii with Minmin tomorrow! Happiness!

So now technically I’ve got 2 sets of Wii! It’s either we keep the other set at his house or we’ll sell it off if there’s a buyer for it. Anyone want to buy? Bid for Wii Console from $530. :D

Wii surely is a family bonding game. And great great one for parties! Now we’ll just need 2 more controllers and few more party games and we’ll be ready for lots of non-stop fun and laughter! Already I’ve got few parties planned. Can’t wait!

Van Skidded beside Us

April 12, 2008  |  The Woman  |  accident, driving, van  |  1 Comment

After the emotional ride at SPH, and when I’m settled down, another wave took place. We were driving along Ang Mo Kio Industrial area when we met with this almost freaky accident. The traffic light was turning red and we slowed down… to our horror, a van on our left skidded while he was braking.

He was either too tired or dreaming while he was driving. Unaware of the yellow box at the traffic light, instead of speeding past the light, he tried to brake. The tyre must be too old and have lost gripped. His van skidded for a short distance and started spinning and towards our car! At that moment, my mind went blank and Abang was in total shock too. All he could do was to step harder on his break praying hard that the van will stop in time. Our car stopped but the van was still spinning towards us! I thought that’s IT! Our new Rush is going to be trashed soon. I closed my eyes and paused my breathing. There was like a split second of silence and lucky for us, the van managed to break his spin just in time. Our vehicles were only centimeters apart!

I was traumatized. My heart couldn’t stop pounding after we drove away. My hands were shivering. I’m glad I’m still alive.
