I’ve been waiting for you for almost 30 years, but you’ve still not found me. Guess I’ve been on your naughty list all these years. I don’t know what I’ve done to stay there for so long, but I’ve always tried my best to be nice to everyone around me. Perhaps I’ve been misunderstood, but I stay true to who I am, and I know deep down, to those who really know me, know that I’ve been a nice person. So Santa, will you grant me my wishes for this year?

Here are my wish list if you decide to stamp the “nice” chop on my file this year…

I wish for a Canon EOS 7D, to strike first prize Toto on Monday and Thursday, a big office space for my team, another cat to play with Yuniko, a free shopping spree at Funan, a year supply of cheezels and M&Ms, a house with swimming pool, a new car… and many many more wishes for me in 2010.

See, its not that difficult to fulfill my wish list right? So Santa, when will you come through my window with your big red bag? I’ll make sure I’ve got all kinds of cookies and milk waiting for you by the window ok?

(Sidenote: Abang, don’t worry, you’re still the one I love. He’s only an idol lah!)

After years of idolising him on my macbook screen, I finally got to meet him in person! The feeling was like a 14-year old who worship that famous pop star who’s cute and perhaps can sing and dance pretty well. But this idol of mine is different. Yes, I’m sure he can sing pretty well too, but that’s beside the point. I’m making him an inspiration as he has got the brain, charisma, talent and charm. And I want to one day be able to not work (too much) and yet live life comfortably before I reach 30! He sold his project at age 28, I wonder if I can do that with mine too, by 29 perhaps.

Following my personal mantra of “good things must share“, let me try listing down 10 all most of the things I know about him:

• he plays games (Wii and Xbox360)

• he’s into photography and owns a Canon DSLR
• he camwhores and videowhores at times
• he chooses to be an attention whore
• he’d came to Singapore thrice in 2006, 2007 and 2009
• 6 words story: Two wine glasses. One is empty.
• he’s considering planning moving to Singapore!
• he’s leaving Singapore tonight and will hopefully be back in 4Q of 2009
• he makes great poster boy for Singapore Entrepreneurial Success when he moves here
• he’s also listed as one of the hottest male blogger

Hmm… ok, the list might just be a tiny portion of who he really is, but guess these are what I roughly get from meeting him in Singapore and stalking reading his blog.

Not sure if you get to meet him while he was in Singapore, but if you did, hope you’d managed to learn something out from him. I know I sure did.

On another note, I’ve to be very clear here. I admit I’m a big fan, and did go gaga about him when he first arrived. I’m sure Howie and Joy can relate the excitement and jokes we shared prior to catching the first glimpse of Yongfook in person at the airport. Surviving through two days of Blogout, with him within such close radius, without any heart attack was a miracle. And after all the gaga and what not, the excitement just kinda died… yes he’s still my idol, I still am very inspired by his work, but perhaps when I do see him again at the end of the year, I’m sure the feeling will be different. No more gaga-ing.

Till than, if you want to find out more about Yongfook, visit his blog. But if you’re hoping to one day have a chance to go on a date with him, DO NOT read his blog! At least that’s what he said at Open Room last night.

On a sidenote, a friend shared that she was in need for sex today as its the time of the month. I looked at her with mouth wide open in disbelieve that she’s actually sharing that out loud! She said, well, we’re all human and what’s wrong with having sex? I don’t know about you, but how open are you about talking sex (not in the dirty way)? I wonder if I can cut off by starting a sex education blog. LOL! Ok, that last sentence was meant to be a joke. Perhaps its due to too much reading of my idol’s blog. But if you’re really curious about sex, perhaps this is for you.

Thanks to the kind people at Intel, I’m able to hold it, play with it, use it, adore it, hug it, love it, flaunt it and even sleep with this hot babe! (For a week) And because I’m loving it so much, I thought why not spread some love around the people I meet too!

So here’s the thing, if you’re going to meet me anytime this week (till Tuesday), you’ll get to touch it, play with it, lick it, smell it and take a photo with it! If you’re going to be seeing this hot red babe, I’m going to take a photo of you with the red and you’ll join in the album of “Seeing red“! This is just something fun I want to do. It has got nothing to do with Intel, HP nor any agency.

But Claudia says…

#1 No upgrade to the camera – WHAT??? NO VIDEO??? Actually this is the most sucky part for Claudia. Most of you would have known she’s the kind of person who will take photos and videos wherever she goes. She cannot leave without a phone without a camera. 2megapixel is still acceptable since photos taken from her phone are for web use only. And she can hardly recall when was the last time she printed out photos in hardcopy! But it seems like iPhone camera doesn’t have autofocus?? And nooo video!!! Claudia needs to really consider the cons for living without these features. (Maybe she should consider the Samsung phones instead!)

#2 No Adobe Flash support – Ouch!! This means Claudia cannot watch her Vimeo videos on blogs. But they’ve the YouTube app to watch videos on YouTube. Claudia can always switch to upload her stuff from now on to YouTube instead of Vimeo? But Claudia feels that this one is still acceptable ba.

#3 No instant messaging – Claudia say there’s going to be lots of applications available for download and she’s sure someone will be doing something about this. If not, there’s always Twitter and Plurk. She just has to convinced all her friends to register with them so they can keep in touch through web instead of IM.

#4 Totally impractical for international travel – Claudia don’t travel much. Although she hope she could. So who cares?

#5 Not compatible with Bluetooth car kits or headphones – Claudia don’t need this too. When she’s driving, she has to concentrate on the road. She doesn’t pick up calls no matter with bluetooth or not.

#6 No cut and paste – Hmm… copy and paste what? She hates copy cats!

#7 Non user-replaceable battery – Claudia don’t mind bringing the charger everywhere she goes. She wonders if iPhone allow usb charging?

#8 No MMS – Who needs MMS when you can email your photos to Twitter, Flickr and Tumblr? Muahahahaha!

#9 No turn-by-turn navigation – Claudia has a living directory whenever she’s on the road. So its ok without this.

For #10, Claudia don’t really care.

Looking at the above points, Claudia is still trying to fight the thought of buying the iPhone. Other than the HTC Touch Diamond and Samsung F480 or Samsung Omnia, iPhone is the other choice for her. She had said she would get the Diamond instead of iPhone, but when she finally get to play with it, she realised the phone is just too small for her huge fingers. Claudia was quite happy with the F480, especially the camera feature. She had yet tried the Omnia, but the first impression she got when she was at CommunicAsia of the phone wasn’t that good.

So should Claudia get the iPhone?

Just realised that the FAQ is not showing the price plan for other Singtel plans like the Classic plan! Claudia swear it was on that page yesterday! iPhone was going at $728 with Classic plan! Now its gone!!! Claudia regretted not doing a printscreen of it yesterday!!! Now she has no prove! Waaaa!!! Anyone viewed the FAQ page yesterday??? So now consumers must take up their i-plan for the iPhone?

Good thing Claudia has got 3 different lines with Singtel. But still!!! Haiz…

Question to ponder this round… “What’s my ideal job?” If there’s a job that’ll fit perfectly in my list of answers, I’ll most probably be jumping into it in no time. If you know of any openings that fits into my list, please please please contact me ASAP ok? So that I’ll not miss out on this opportunity! Claud’s resume can be found here. Wahahahahaha!!

Claudia’s Ideal Job will be…

• one that allows me to work anytime I want.
  It should still have an office with a table for me to go to, but I can choose to start work anytime and end work as late as I want. Preferably with vending machines for coffee and snacks with a cosy corner for staff to chill and relax. SWEET!
• one that allows me to wear whatever I want to work. T-shirt and shorts and sandals! COOL!
• one that pays me what I deserve! Nope! $2.4k is sooo not enough! Imagine the amount of bills, insurance and expenses I have every month! (And with the house that I’ll have to pay for in couple of years to come!) I’m sure there are many companies out there that can do A LOT better than just $2.4k/mth right?
• one that gives me room to experiment, learn, fail and advance. I’m one person who cannot live in a boring job. I need lots of excitement and new areas for me to explore to in my job.
• one with a dynamic team of fun and happening friends to work with.
• one that’ll not stop me from attending any blogger (Social Media) event that I want to go.
• one that’ll reward their staff according to their performance at work.
• one that’ll remember everyone’s birthday and also hold parties for everyone during Christmas and any major holidays the company celebrates.

“Claud! Are you crazy?? Where got such good job in this world? If have I also want lah!”

Yap! Who don’t want this kind of job right? Claud is determine to continue the quest for her ideal job. If she cannot find it, she might just start one on her own! Wahahahahaha!!

Interestingly, I saw a twit by benkoe and I have to agree with what Charlene said…

“At a career management course for HBS alumni, I learned that a person typically gets sick of a job after 18 months. This is a natural cycle, as you go through the excitement of learning a new job, become expert at it, and then gradually, it gets routine. So the advice I got was to plan for job obsolescence every 18 months. This didn’t mean that I had to leave the company and go to a new place – it had more to do with redefining my current job first to incorporate new challenges”

Perhaps I’m a faster learner (or at least I think I’ve already learned all the things I can), 18mths seem too long for me. Perhaps 13 or 15 months will probably be the end for me. Unless something damn good or exciting takes place.
