Well almost! The fire was close, and almost sent some sparks flying towards my face. But it was for a great dining experience, one that I’d not have for long time.
Dining with fire wor!The last time I had Teppanyaki dinner was more than a decade ago. After seeing the lobster on Diana’s blog, I cannot help but go try it too! (Yap! She’s got great influence to me!)
So dinner at Sakae Teppanyaki we went…
Read MoreWe were on a Sakae Sushi fever couple weeks ago. Imagine Sakae Sushi three days in a row! Almost had a forth but we couldn’t find one where we were that night. Day 1 was at Heartland Mall outlet, Day 2 at Rivervale Mall and Day 3 at Compasspoint.
Having dinner at the same place for three days gave us the temptation to order different food on each day. So no usual orders for us. (Well, except a few lah!) Here are the new variety of food we ordered, and couple of our favorites…
Hiyashi Ramen, $7.99“Fun is fun, where got harmful or harmless one?” And you’re wrong! Something which to you may be fun, but to others it may be a very painful experience. I can so list down 101 fun that may seem harmless but is very harmful in actual fact.
Picture this… Party with tons of booze, horny guys and sexy gals. Uh-huh… you get where I’m heading to right? Worst if an attached guy gets involve with the girlfriend’s best friend! And… and… she gets pregnant!! Wah!! Damn drama already can! But that’s how true life can get! Ask around, if you’ve got friends old enough, they’ll sure have some similar stories to share.
So are these kind of fun still fun to you?
No, I’m not saying that I’ve done anything naughty! I’m just sharing a new online drama which is taking place right now at notsosecretlives.com. Not going to tell you more else I’m going to let the cat out of the bag!
Just go check the site out and follow the drama! Participate in the discussions on facebook and take your stand on who you think has committed the sin in “Crossroads”.
Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and the traditional auntie inside me is shouting reminders of all the must-do things. One of which is to do a “Huat ah!” on the 4th day of Lunar New Year with my team in the office. And according to Mum, the auspicious hours to do it is between 11am to 3pm. So we’ve decided to gather and have our CNY lunch at the office.
The nearest place with decent Yu Sheng for that day for me is Sakae Sushi at Heartland Mall. So today, I placed my orders for our CNY lunch from Sakae Sushi.

Ordered the medium “Rong” Yusheng with extra serving of Salmon Sashimi
Situated within an area which I’ve yet to explore. ei8ght cafe & bar is located along Bukit Pasoh Road and next to the tranquility and serenity of Duxton Park. Thanks to a lunch meeting, I was introduced to this hidden gem, serving both sumptuous Asian and Western fusion homemade specialties.
I was impressed upon stepping into this nostalgic place. Love the decor, the lighting, the cosiness, the atmosphere, the everything lah! Just take a look at these photos! Yes! Taken with iPhone with Hipstamatic camera app! The feel fits perfectly!!
