The other products in the range are finishing soon; either that or I aren’t using them as regularly as the serum. I’m a very lazy woman lah. Skin care is a touch and go thing for me. Morning and before sleep cleanse, tone and serum. That’s it.

Anyone of you using the serum too? Or has got other recommendation that worked? Would love to hear from you.

Been very very long ago since I spent so much on skin care products, but having used the trial gift set from Shiseido, I just have to continue using it! Seeing the improvement in my complexion is proof that it works.

At the event, I was asked about my experience with White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum. My reply?

The lazy me hates the applying and cleansing after make-up. I hope after using White Lucent over a period, I’ll be able to step into a formal setting with little or no make-up! Ok that’s a little over, but one can hope right?

2011 is such an exciting year ahead for me, I’m beginning to pay more attention to my skin and body. So this opportunity came in the right time. I would like for you to join me on my journey towards clearer and brighter skin…

To help kick start my whitening journey, the above were what I got in my personal “starter pack” with compliment from Shiseido. These products are from the White Lucent range, including the much much loved (and now I’m a big fan after using it for 4 days) White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum (S$159). Honestly, when I was told this serum won many beauty awards in 2010 and 2011, I was a little skeptical. But now, I have to admit it is the best! After 2 days, my mum was telling me my skin looks brighter. I wake up every morning with a fairer skin too. I’m serious! This is not a joke ok!

I’ll be sharing more about my whitening journey over the next few weeks. Hope I’ll have enough courage to post up a non-madeup, non-edited photo of me in here by the fourth week. *coughs*

But when Mum brings one pill to me every night before she sleeps with cup of water, what other reason should I give not to take it? So I’ve been eating one Avalon capsule a day for the past 4-6 months (I think). Did it help me the way it should? I’m here to share with you how it had helped with my dieting… “My rebirth of wellbeing…”

Since young, I had been having problem with my digestive system. I had problem letting go what I ate, sometimes for as long as an entire week. No matter how much I eat nor drink, nothing seemed to want to get discharged. My family tried lots of methods and gave me all kind of stuff to help improve the problem. But nothing quite worked. Up till I grow up, my bowel release hasn’t been regular too. Not till I started taking Avalon Detox.

Like what it stated, its a detox capsule. The first week of consuming it, my body was going through this crazy detox period. Everything I eat, I shit. And when I say shit, its the LS kind of shitting k! I know this is disgusting to say, but that’s the fact, just in case you go try and find something wrong. It’s not. That’s what happened to my mum too.

For the whole week, I shitted like no tomorrow! Bombed the toilet after every meal and oh-my-goodness the smell!!! *faints* LOL! Over the years our body has been collecting toxic and without proper diet and release, our body keeps all the toxic inside. So this initial period with Avalon Detox was the start of total detoxifying. I felt “cleaner” after the first week.

Once my body has been totally cleaned out, that’s when the detox process gets regulated. And the time spent in the toilet lessen. But if you eat too much food at a go, you’ll have to make the dash shortly after the meal. So this helps me to control my food intake and give only what my body needs me to. This also prevented me from going for buffet meals!

Now I’m able to release my bowels daily and with my regular runs, I am slowly living a better healthier life. Though with both detoxing and regular exercising, I’m still not losing the fats I want to. May be due to the irregular meal time and late nights.

Seeing the results of Avalon Detox capsules, I’m considering their latest release of the Avalon Fat Burner capsules. Saw it in store couple of times and was tempted to get it. But at $99 for 1 month supply (60 capsules), I’m still considering it. If anyone of you tried it and sees effect, please let me know!

Well, Diana did a mission recently to test the reaction of the staff from a tourist attraction place. Head over and read, hers is damn funny! Mine is surely not as “fun” as I’d expected it to be. So what happened to my feet?

I walked my tired feet to Rivervale Mall from home that night. It was almost 8 when I reached the place. And they closes at 10pm. Its a new beauty salon with manicure, pedicure, facial and massage services. The place is very nicely designed and gives a very classy feel. A rare sight in a neighborhood mall. So there I went, my feet stepped in and my eyes darted around the place for the price list.

Two ladies were at the counter when I entered and immediately they approached me to see how they can help. Did a recording of the conversation, not very clear cos the phone wasn’t power enough to record surround sound lah. So not putting it up. Else you’ll just hear my super low and irritating voice. Wahahahaha!

The gist of the conversation, is where I asked about the different types of pedicure and then decide on the classic pedi, where later the young lady boss tried upselling to me to the up it to their Spa pedi where they use OPI products and they will apply mask for my leg.

During the process, the lady boss was very friendly and she didn’t hard sell like some other places which I’d been to. I was told to pick the colors before I sat down, hence I couldn’t try the testing of multiple color mission. *FAIL!* -___-|| But I did stood there for the longest time staring at the rows of colors and asked them to suggest the hottest and most popular colors to me. But all the colors they choose kenna rejected by me! Wahahaha! Seriously, I’m not into bright orange, yellow and pink nails leh. Though I rejected their ideas their face didn’t change, still smiling and allowing me to take my time to look at the colors. I am pleased.

Since it was my first time doing pedicure, the clumsy me didn’t know what to do nor where to sit. I almost tripped while getting to the seat and after I sat down, I almost gave the pedicurist a kick on the face! Seriously, if that happened, it WASN’T on purpose!

My pedicurist was still learning the trades I think, she was taught through the steps for my feet spa session by another lady. Though she is new to the service, she was very professional and did a very good job trimming my super long and ugly toenails and removing the pretty bad layer of cuticles around it. She even asked if I’d not been for pedicure for a long time, then I told her “Erm, its my first time leh.” She gave me the disbelief look! I can imagine she thinking, “Wah! This woman never done pedicure before? She gave her first to me leh!” Ok, I digressed…

The service by my pedicurist is very good. Through the session, I asked her question when she does something different. For example, when she was scrubbing my feet, I asked why she is doing it and said it tickled. Very tempted to give my leg a jerk but that will be too nasty of me. She was very patient with me and didn’t mind my stupid questions. The lady boss also came back often to check how’s thing going and if everything was alright. Chatted with her while waiting for my nail paint to dry, and got to know that she started this shop with 2 other friends and was previously working at the other mani-padi place just few steps away from her shop. I asked if her boss would mind her snatching away business, but in fact, it was her previous boss that recommended she take up the space for her own business. Very brave ex-boss she has!

And hor, when I was chatting with her, I really ended up damaging my nail paint! My left thumb nail was scratched my my right thumb nail. The lady who painted my nail wasn’t around and had placed back the nail color. So the lady boss had to walk back and forth to find the right shade of color to help me touch up. I feel damn pai say lah! And for the record, this WASN’T done on purpose!

At the end of the session, which lasted almost 2 hours (with express manicure), I was the one who got tired. Asked too many questions already. It was one of my most tiring pedicure session ever lah! My planned to sabo them ended up being a sabo to myself! Wahahaha! But overall I still enjoyed the session very much and will surely be going back for their service whenever I need some pampering on my feet and hands.

One of the project I’m doing for 24seven, is to come up with a mission to test the service level of establishments in Singapore. We all encounter good and bad services everyday. From the public transport driver’s reckless driving, to the auntie at the coffee shop who makes sure our table is free from dirty plates and unsightly grease. Everywhere there will sure be similar encounters. And that’s what a service squad has been set up to do.

Are You Being Served the way which is acceptable in your own level of expectations? Have you ever met with a super good service that you filled up a customer feedback card to compliment their effort? I know I have (while I’m in HCM).

We give kudos to the good and to the not-so-satisfactory gentle nudges in the right service direction. (Why not do the same? After all, they might impress you the next time!)

In support for the project I’m working on, I decide to go on a mission too! And I’m sending my feet for this. Here’s what I plan to do…

Mission: To test the staff’s product knowledge and service level at unexpected moment.

Going for pedicure for the first time, I want to understand all types of pedicure services available. I’ll get the lady to explain to me in detail each of their service in order to decide which I will take. Then during the color selection to paint my nails, I will get the lady to try as many color as possible on my toenails so that I can make my decision. (I am a fussy woman lah!) Then during the pedicure session, my leg will suddenly get a bad cramp when she’s painting my nails. I wonder how she will react…

I will be going for this mission sometime next week. Will then share my experience with you again.

I could only ask one question so I requested to know my career in 2009. Three cards were drawn and the tarot card reader explained what they meant. I was told to stay in my current situation and things will go smoothly if I do. (My current situation?? OMG! That will be a broke businesswoman leh! OR did he mean to say that I will one day become a successful businesswoman?) I need to listen to others contribution and ideas in order to succeed. (Yes! I agree with this. And I’m glad to have the team I’m working with and the greatest mentor anyone can wish for.) And lastly, I was told to find time to enhance the spiritual side of me, which I was indeed lacking for the past 20 over years of my life. (This I will try. Perhaps by spending some time each week with my Wii Fit to practice Yoga!

Besides the Tarot Card reading, there was free caricature too! Above are the ladies I was with that day. Can you guess who is who?

Since it was a Majolica Majorca party, there were lots of cosmetics by Majolica Majorca on display and everything looks so princess-like and ladylike. A little too sweet for me. But I’ve to say, I’m loving some of their products. Namely the liquid eyeliner, their rouge majex and honey pump gloss. My first encounter with these pretty cosmetics was at their opening launch at Watsons, Takashimaya. There was free makeover for the many ladies there too. This time, I took on the Chapter 21 look and had quite a dramatic eye makeup which I have never done. Looks kinda scary at first, but got used to it soon. But I’ll never be able to create that kind of effect on my own, although the makeup artist made it sound so easy. Its just different when you’re doing it on your own.

This event has also brought new lights to my ideas and concepts for 24seven. A lot for me to reflect and learn about. Thanks Nadnut for the invitation and experience. And babe you’ve got your charm and fans yio!
