The Blog
On Sunday, I went shopping with cousin Xin. She had been so caught up with work that its hard to even have dinner with her. We went out shopping for our other cousin’s 21st birthday presents. Went all around Orchard twice but still couldn’t find the gift we had planned! Alas we decided to get her a few things that we felt she’ll love and use. Hope she likes it.
While shopping around, we chanced upon this interesting gallery in the middle of town. Behind CK Tang. The exhibition – Wonderland, 2007/8 is made up of colour photographs by Chua Chye Teck and curated by Lindy Poh.

The two of us look “cui” (tired)
This project puts into focus the relationship between consumer and objects. Interested in notions of desire, gratification and identification through the possession of things, the artist explores 500 disposed objects from flea markets, Salvation Army and “donors” were cleaned up and photographed. Evoking the oder of a collection of curiosities or objets d’ art, Chua re-defines the roles of ‘junk’ to inject a renewed sense of wonder in viewing them in gallery context.

If you happen to be passing the road from CK Tang to Far East Plaza, you might want to go take a look. It’s on from now till 20 April 2008.

As I’d mentioned yesterday, after seeing NTT using flock at FB Developer Garage last night, I knew this is going to be the browser for me! After using it for half a day at work, I’m simply loving it!
Other than the People Sidebar and Media bar, I can do so many things within Flock itself! Like dragging photos from my flickr to my blog post within Flock and getting all the updates from facebook and twitter all at the sidebar.
Love love love it!
Thanks to NTT, I just discovered the beauty of Flock! Very new to this explorer but its way cool! Like I’m now blogging via flock! Will try to explore more over the weekend… time to sleep now. Another long day later… its IT Show day!
*Keeping fingers crossed* Hope I can find a reasonable priced and good camera tomorrow at IT Show.
Nitez.

I just received an email from my hosting company telling me to renew my hosting in March. Before this I’d been considering getting a new domain since everyone now seemed to be using a .sg domain name. Just to name a few… sabrina.sg, dk.sg, jean.sg… etc etc
I’d been battling with a few domains for very very long and eventually decided to stick to limedsign.com. It’s not easy to remember and many people spell it wrongly many times. But it’s been with me for awhile and its where I’d built my web presence.
Today I’d just sent my personal namecards for print! And now DK tempts me again with his .sg domain!! Waaaah!! DK I HATE YOU!
Perhaps next year I’ll consider again… perhaps lim.sg? or maybe claudia.sg? Haiz… I’m so indecisive!
Have you ever tried to go all out to find the eating place that you saw on TV the other day then later found out that their recommendation wasn’t as good as they’d said? This has been quite a common experience for people around me.
More than often we felt that there’s a bias side of all these food or product review programmes. Because never will they say that the food or product is not good or bad. Whenever a celebrity try any type of food shown on TV, he or she will surely 100% say that the food is very very good. But how true is that? Just he/she and his/her partner trying it and giving the recommendation. How reliable can that be?
Yes, TV programmes will only show the good ones and never the bad ones. Cos who will want them to film when its going to be a bad review? But also because the eating place or stall owners already knew the filming crew will be coming, surely they will put on their cleaniest outfit, best smile and best cooking to please them. So its bias to say that the food is good when the food was prepared for the crew. Perhaps only those who were there on the filming day get to eat the best cooking by them. Other days, well, you go and try and tell us about it.
Just want to do a simple survey here, how many of you reading this now actually have the same experience before?
I just realised I’ve got many posts that I wanted to blog about but till now no time to do it! So I better consolidate all of them here before I forget about them!
- Yebber CNY Gathering: Food Shots
- Yebber CNY Gathering: The Video (Preview)
- InteresThink event at The Pod
- Airshow 2008

Hope I’ll have time for all the above soon! Tired. Sleeping now. Night night.
