Bags, Labtop cases, necklaces, earrings and lots more! Everything to go tomorrow at China Square Central Flea Market Booth 76, level 1! If you happen to be free, drop by and take a look! Prices from as low as $1! One day special ONLY! So come grab them before they’re grabbed!

The bags that will be on sale… all MUST go tomorrow!

What does clubbing means to you?

July 5, 2007  |  Yet to be sorted  |  4 comments

As mentioned in my previous post, I’ve not been in the clubbing scene for about 4 years, from what I remember back than, clubbing to me was a form of de-stressing by dancing and drinking. Clubs had been pretty strict with the dress code for ladies, e.g. no flip flops, no bermudas etc. For me and my friends, we usually don’t care what other people think about us while we club cause we just want to be comfortable and enjoy the night, so we dress in our most comfortable tshirts and jeans and a comfortable pair of shoes. We will sweat it out on the dance floor shaking, jumping and swinging and of course dancing. That was the kind of clubbing I know from 4 years back. But now… things seem to have changed.

It was quite an interesting outing last night at the club we went. We were early, so we set outside to chill and have our first drink for the night. As our table was just next to the entrance to the club, we get to see everyone that enters it. Before I head down to Clarke Quay, I was quite concerned as I was wearing my Papillio sandles. I was afraid that I will not be allowed to enter due to improper footwear. But the sight of what the other ladies (mostly girls) were wearing and entering the club, I was rather stunned. So now going clubbing is like going to a party at Siloso Beach? Flip flops, shorts and singlet! And not just one or two I saw wearing like that. It was almost 5 out of 6 who entered the club dressed like that! That makes my group seemed overdressed. So now we know. Beach wear is the thing to club in now!

Upon entering the club for the first time after 4 years, the rhythm of the 80s music brought back so much memories back in the poly days… my leg and body started to move and the urge of dancing was there. However, as usual, there were zero people in there dancing. So I thought people were warming up and just chilling first. After 2 drinks, I was ready to dance… the songs were my favourites! So I stood up and starting moving to the music… however… no one was dancing still!

And based on my observation, clubbing now means…

  1. sit-and-act-pretty
  2. taking lots of photos with friends
there was this group of girls sitting right in the center of the dance floor, the entire time they were there, all they did was snap snap snap! And when they had enough of photos, they exited the club! (What?!?!)
  3. take out your latest macbook pro and sit right in the center of the dance floor and try to sniff for wireless connection
we totally didn’t understand what the 2 guys were doing! They paid for the entrance and instead of doing what they were supposed to do, they took out the mbp! Of course, they were chased out by the bouncers.

After an hour or so in the club, the mood to dance and enjoy myself died. Maybe I was at the wrong club. Maybe I was there at the wrong time. But well, its only my first after 4 years. So maybe it will not be like that the next time I enter a club.

Clean Air @ Pub

July 5, 2007  |  Yet to be sorted  |  1 Comment

I’ve not been clubbing for the longest time. The last time was like 3 or 4 years back… I used to be an avid clubber who goes to disco with friends every week. But everytime I come home, the smell on my hair and clothes is very bad. I am a non-smoker but for the fun of dancing and drinking, I tolerated it.

After so many years of not clubbing, finally today I went… thanks to NEA for their banned of smoking at entertainment outlet. This ban is very welcome! Now we can all club and pub without having to smell like an ashtray after that. Today me and my girlfriends went to the Clinic for a drink and also Destiny Pub to sing and drink. We can still smell our own shampoo and perfume smell after a night of club and pub! So cool! No more smelly hair!

So now we can sleep immediately after shower instead of waiting for our long hair to dry on its own (cause we don’t want to wake everyone up in the middle of the night with the sound of the hair dryer mah).

Now this ban might just make me want to go back clubbing again… (although we feel very old and out of place among those young students lah!) But than again, as long as we’re not 35 nor looking like an auntie, I’m sure we’ll still be allowed to enter the club on Ladies night right? *lol*

My 25th year is ending… and I’m going on to my 26th… before I share my downs in my 25th year, here’s what happened today… advance celebration with Da cos its a school holiday…

After a battle with the booking system on GV website couple of days ago (they did an upgrade I think and it was a pain in the ass trying to get the site moving since Friday night, but lucky for us, last night I finally managed to book our tickets to Transformer. (He wanted to watch it at the 2K Digital cinema but I booked the GVMax!) Well, since its already booked, there’s nothing we could do. (So sorry da.)

Before we head down into GVMax…

I tried to pull out Bart’s nose…

and took a photo with cute little Maggie!

Transformer was kind of awesome. The animation and graphic was 101% totally cool and WOW!! But the story… hmm… ok lah. After reading so much about how great the show is and all, guess my expectation was set too high. Well, but I did dashed for the toilet and dashed back to my seat no wanting to miss too much of the show. (GV should have built the toilets within the cinema mah! Haiz…) The part which I love most about the show… its when the Autobots were at Sam’s place… so cute! So child-like! So funny! Quick hide! Just because of this, I want to watch Transformer again! *lol* Maybe this time at the 2k Digital cinema?

After the show, we went for dinner at Swensen’s Earle…

Trying to act cute. But not cute. HAHA!

Mmmm… what is da eyeing at?

Hey you! I’m Fat & Ugly!

June 29, 2007  |  Yet to be sorted  |  No Comments

I need a makeover! If only Extreme Makeover or The Swan is in Singapore too. Than I can try to get myself on it. Cos I am fat and ugly! Due to my back problem, I can’t exercise, or maybe I don’t know what exercises I can do so that it will not hurt my back more. And also I’m too lazy to exercise lah.

I really hope to get some kind of transformation for my new life. Not plastic surgery kind of transformation, just silming, facial, remove the ugly sight of some parts of my body and the markings left behind by don’t know what kind of insects or falls…

If I had won today’s 3mil Toto, I would have gone for my own extreme makeover with a famous beauty center… but sad to say, I didn’t. So…

… if you own a slimming center, or a spa, or a gym or any business that helps transform an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan, I am THE ONE you are looking for!!

I am going to take up any offer from any of you out there if you promise you can help me to become pretty. (Cos I want to be famous!) However there are conditions before I accept your offer. Conditions as follows…

  • It has to be 100% F.O.C. (i.e. Free of charge)
  • It has to be a Singapore registered business with physical lab/salon/centers
  • to be continued when I think of more conditions

And in return for the above, I will…

  • review your service on your blog/site and mine
  • be your model for commercial/ ads for free
  • to be continued when I think of more

If you are laughing your heads off now, please stop. Cause I’m serious. Yes. Very serious. Cos I want to be famous!

Drop me an email at i12bfamous@limedsign.com with your proposal and company website/blog. I will get back to you if you’re shortlisted.

Thanks.

This is how fat and ugly I am…
