There are so many life changing things happening this year but I’m not able to share them out loud here. Its sad but somethings are better left private. Even had to change my Facebook security settings to ensure things that are not to be public remains hidden.

Wish my life was simpler. But I’m living it to the fullest I’m sure!

If you’re trying to dig anything from here about my present and future life, I’m sorry you won’t be getting much of it. This will become the public domain where I share things I come across occasionally that interests me or may interests you.

Claudia the Panda is busy and has not been updating me as regularly as before. And I’m sad.

Two years ago, she would share her adventures with me the very same night; or sometimes almost instantly as the event unfolds as she live blog. When she does that, I get many hits and link love. I was loving every moment of it then. But now, I get hit and missed almost as fast as you can read “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”.

I sensed that many of my relatives are having the same problem too. The owner gets too busy with work or overwhelmed with the number of happenings around her, and we get ignored. When owners ignore us for too long, we die a silent and painful death.

You see, I come from a huge family of many even larger families. Our god (Google) is a very powerful one. We worship her religiously, without her shine of light on us, we will never get any hit at all. When that happens, we die. Many of my relatives died tragically and I don’t want that to happen to me. I want our god to keep shining her almighty light on me and keep me alive.

Claudia the Panda seemed to have diverted her attention to new sisters and brothers of mine which I never ever wished for! There is the one for ladies and tech, the one for rediscovering Singapore, the one where she post via email, the one for her and her man and the one where she doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing with. And I wonder what other siblings of mine are brewing in her mind! Why can’t she just focus on me alone? Aren’t I good enough for her?

I wish Claudia the Panda will keep posting content in me. Feed me with text love and help me get link love. I don’t want to die. I want to be loved like before. I want to get hit the moment she returns from an event. I want to get link love because of her lovely photos she takes of people at these great events. Ok, for this, I blame the my relative’s big brother (Facebook). Ever since he came into the world, Claudia the Panda only uploads photo to Facebook and tag people there, she no longer share it in me. My love and hits had all gone to the relative’s big brother. I’m sad.

If you are a friend of Claudia the Panda, please tell her to stop neglecting me. Tell her that she need to continue to love me and fill me up so that I can be kept alive.

After four years of blogging or what I call story sharing, I was feeling tiresome doing the same thing. Though there are the occasional urge to share what I did over the weekend and all, but those are shared in mini-blurbs on the other blog of mine. With the battlefield I fight daily at work, I find it even more challenging to maintain a blog like I used to.

I’ve always got thoughts and point of view which I want to voice out here, but when I finally get some time to sit and type, all these points just disappeared. Like I’d said before, I would really really love to have a gadget to record everything I have in mind and put them in written notes. That’ll be ultra cool! Till the day someone knock on my door with that power device, I could only wish.

So that Sunday morning, a thought of this monthly thinggy came to mind. It has been something which I’d wanted to do all these while, but never really set my mind to. So now that I’m going to set aside a few days each month to get this mini-project of mine going, I’m excited about the possibilities!

Before I slowly unveil this thinggy, I would like you to make a guess. What do you think this ReFresh! of mine will be? ReFresh! may not be the name I’ll be using, just a generic noun to call this monthly thinggy. (ReFresh! sounds better than the monthly thinggy right? The latter sounds like… “Aiyah… my monthly thinggy is here!”)

Someone once told me that one can never be too busy to blog. But when mind is overly clouded by the millions and one things, its tough to set time and mind aside to find the right tone to blog.

January 2009

My best experience that month is 101% the opportunity to go out to sea on the Puma V070. If I have a chance, I would love to do it again!

Then there’s the visit to the last kampong in Singapore where I snap quite a lot of pretty photos.

February 2009

This was the month where my face was featured on the cover of ST with only a small part of mentions in the Prime News section.

That month, I also started a new column on my blog to record my experience as my own boss called “Claud the Panda Entrepreneur.

March 2009

Oh March! What a month that was! The hard work and sweat put into BlogOut09 was well worth it. Got the chance to finally meet Jon in person and got to know more about Joel Postman too.

April 2009

In April, I got back to using a mouse, bitten by vampires, caught my favorite movie in 2009 and organised Tweet Tuesday with Kelvin.

May 2009

May was quite a crazy month. I had one of the highest traffic hit on my blog thanks to Search for N contest with Nokia. Also attended my first WebSG meetup and met Lucian.

And I did an impromptu decision to fly to Bangkok with Diana for Barcamp! Still can’t believe I did that! But it was great experience! Seeing how Barcamp is ran in BKK was an eyeopener, and the shopping and massages with Diana were ermm… unforgettable!

That month, I was also featured in zbNow with Pat and Howie.

June 2009

Highlights for this month was my trip with Abang to Bandung and getting the role of “official storyteller” for N.E.mation 4! It was an amazing journey with the students and people behind N.E.mation. Will share more when it comes to an end in February 2010.

July 2009

My bird-day month!! This year I had two celebrations, both with people that matters to me. Thank you for the memories!

That was also when I stayed 24-hr inside the display windows at Tangs! I thinks this is the crazies thing I did in 2009!

August 2009

Moved into our cosy office for 24seven, marking a new milestone for all of us at 24seven. Then I adopted my cat (finally!) Yuniko from SPCA.

And I also enjoyed a great NDP birthday bash, watched my favorite animation for the year and visited the Singapore Toy Games and Comic Covention.

September 2009

Three great experiences in September! I’m marking this the most happening month for me, my team and 24seven!

First I got a chance to have a romantic dinner with Abang in the sky. Then I got to party at F1 Rocks with Black Eyed Peas and DJ Havana Brown.

And I finally got to check out SGP live! Though not the final race day, but getting to see the F1 cars up close was WOW!

Oh! And that month, I was also mentioned on The Business Times (Weekend).

October 2009

The Ah Lian in me got released one night in October. Thanks to Puma!

November 2009

November is Yasmin month! Though we may not get to see her on the actual day, but we’ll surely not miss celebrating it with her. And that month, I finally got to give Standing Sushi a try, and yes they’re good!

December 2009

December’s highlight ah? Hmm… due to the many events, there are many things which I’ve still yet find time to blog! What I’ve got so far is my second World Aids Day event

Other’s to remember will be my trip to Bangkok with family and friends and the amazing Year End Blogger Hat-py Party which just ended last night. Posts coming up soon.

It’s NYE! Go have a blast everyone and I’ll see all of you again next year!

I’ve been waiting for you for almost 30 years, but you’ve still not found me. Guess I’ve been on your naughty list all these years. I don’t know what I’ve done to stay there for so long, but I’ve always tried my best to be nice to everyone around me. Perhaps I’ve been misunderstood, but I stay true to who I am, and I know deep down, to those who really know me, know that I’ve been a nice person. So Santa, will you grant me my wishes for this year?

Here are my wish list if you decide to stamp the “nice” chop on my file this year…

I wish for a Canon EOS 7D, to strike first prize Toto on Monday and Thursday, a big office space for my team, another cat to play with Yuniko, a free shopping spree at Funan, a year supply of cheezels and M&Ms, a house with swimming pool, a new car… and many many more wishes for me in 2010.

See, its not that difficult to fulfill my wish list right? So Santa, when will you come through my window with your big red bag? I’ll make sure I’ve got all kinds of cookies and milk waiting for you by the window ok?

Till I have more ME time, this blog will probably be in hiatus. When I do return, it should hopefully be with a new skin for my blog too.

Have switched my host to Vodien after THC died on me at the most critical timing! But since its a lifetime hosting plan, I’ll have to find purposeful use for it soon. Anyone needs a testing ground?

Hope Vodien will not fail on me. If it can holds Lester’s site well so far, I’m sure mine wouldn’t be of any problem.

First I would like to thank Kahwee for his rescue and Uzyn for creating the backup host for me which than lead Kahwee to discover that it was the wordpress theme that causes all the problem! Quoting from Kahwee, “didn’t know a theme can be so powerful..” Yes! It was the typography theme that I adored so much that causes it!

Than I have to apologize to my web host – Top Hosting Centre. When my blog went down after the WordPress 2.8 upgrade, the immediate reaction was “WTH is happening to my host!!!??!!” Yap, that I’m sure is the first reaction of most people. This was hyped up even more since the host server was down two weeks ago when I was hosting the Search for N contest. Naturally I submitted a new ticket and demanded for them to get it fixed asap. But after 48hours, they couldn’t tell me what went wrong! Because the direction I thought the error was from was wrong! Its not because of the database crashing but its because of a critical conflict with the wordpress theme! Sooo sorry Sandra from THC for the big boo boo!

Now my blog is back, I feel alive again!! Woohooo!!!

Back to setting up my MBP! Yap! I got it!! More updates in my tweets! And also checked out the setting up qik I live-streamed just now.

Starting off is my second third ‘bestfriend’ that I cannot leave without, especially for long rides on public transport. It’s green, very portable, wireless, super sound quality and very long lasting gadget I’m going to talk about is my Sony W-series Walkman NWZ-W202 MP3 Player.

Ever since I collected mine from Sony Showroom, I cannot leave home without it. My previous MP3 player was a green creative stone which I got tired of charging and having to spin the yellowing earpiece wire around the tiny thing. Now with the Sony W-series Walkman, I do not have to worry about charging (not so often) nor distracting wires! Freedom to jog in the gym, freedom to board/ alight train and freedom to move without having a dangling wire! The battery life for this is amazing too! I can listen to it throughout 4-days of commuting and still there’s battery to last. I charge it like once a week only.

Next up is something I wish to own but can never afford to! (Cause I would buy a macbook pro if I have that sum of money. I can live without TV for a few months but I cannot live without my lappie even for a day!) So yes, its a super sexy and amazing TV! The Samsung LED TVs was launched not too long ago and I’ve had 4 good hours with 3 amazing LED TVs when they had their movie night.

The image quality is amazing! The 5 LED Tv displayed at Samsung flagship store at Vivo City will sure to capture anyone’s attention when you enter the store. The paintings come to live and will blow your mind away! LED TVs though expensive, it consumes lesser power than the normal LCD TVs and the Samsung LED TVs come pack with amazing features such as the content library where everyone in the family can enjoy some entertainment or transform the TV to a digital art piece when you have guests over for dinner.

If you don’t believe that these LED TVs is so damn good, go check them out at Samsung Vivo City lah!

Samsung Lapfit Wide LCD Monitor (LD190)

The recent WWDC made me regret not getting an extra display for myself! I wanted to catch the live updates on Gizmodo and join in a chat on tokbox. But can’t keep up to the happenings on my mini 13″ macbook screen! If I had an extra display than, I would have done all that! *sadness*

And than Samsung came along and offered a review unit of their latest Samsung lapfit wide screen LCD monitor! And I am a damn happy woman! I can see my work stuff in full screen mode, and have other happening updates going on in the extra display! Done with the non-photographying gadgets, next few that’s coming up all have got photography linked to them. Yes! Claudia simply loves taking photos! My fingers have been happy snapping away during my recent trip to Bangkok with a light and another amazing devices!

Yes! Its the one that I would like to swap my Nikon D40 with! Its the Canon 500D DSLR. When I first held the prototype at the Canon blogger event, I knew I’ve got to give this a test drive! And I did! And I regretted doing it! Cause now I’ve got to save money to buy it! BUT!! When I finally got the money to, Canon’s going to release another better one!! The frustration of the fast paced technology advancement!

This phone is for those who loves mixing their own ringtones and blasting your favorite music out loud! The sound quality from the Samsung BeatDJ is amazing for a mobile phone. Powered by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower speakers, people around you might appreciate more when you start blasting in public. I strongly do not recommend you to do that though. Keep the blasting and showing off this cool phone among your peers when you’re at your private party or home.

Nokia N97

My new found love that I cannot leave home without! After surviving two days with it at ad:tech Singapore, I think I have found my iPhone replacement! It fits (almost) perfectly to my current lifestyle and needs, both for work and for play! I’ve got much to share about this nifty gadget. More detailed review will come soon!

The LG Viewty Smart phone

I don’t know how I should put this phone. I’m using it more like a standby camera rather than a phone. Cause I’ve got too many phones now! Seven to be exact!

I’m not commenting much about the performance of the Viewty Smart as a phone since I’ve got few much better ones, but I have to comment that their camera is not bad. Capture speed wise not as fast as the Nokia N97 nor my Samsung Innov8, but the quality of it with low ISO setting is pretty good. Than there’s the “Beauty shot” and “Art Shot (cool)” which I dig! Just look at this shot of pretty molemole! Makes her even more pretty lah!

Nothing much I can say about this phone for now. But do watch for a review of it later in the month. You can find this at PC Show yet, launching only next week at CommunicAsia. Which I can’t make it! *sulks*. Will be out of town next week.
