There’s this lady who worked at Sims Vista market that sells coffee. Every time when we are there, she will serve our drinks. She knew what we needed, except for Mr D. She called him “chameleon” cause he always want a different kind of drink. She was very nice and helpful. She’ll come help clean the table for us even when it wasn’t her job. She would deliver our drink no matter where we sat at the big market. She would smile when she served us. All these we will never get to see again.
We were puzzles when the store didn’t open after the Chinese New Year break. Today they finally opened. But auntie wasn’t there. Mr L asked the boss where she was, he said she has left… for a better place…
He told him that she had some virus in her blood and passed away during the New Year. When I heard about this, I felt my heart flipped. Although I don’t know her name, although I don’t know her family, but I felt the pain and the sadness.
We’ll never get to see her smile and feel her friendly and warm again.
May she rest in peace.

Here’s what it would loook like in the real world: you walk in to a room full of people and move from one to another as fast as you can saying in a robotic voice, “add me as a friend, add me as a friend, add me as a friend, who else are your friends? Oh them over there, ok thanks … add me as a friend…”
Don’t that sound so true? Everytime we meet someone new at networking sessions or gatherings, instead of exchanging mobile numbers, we ask if they’re on facebook and than we’ll ask them to add us as friend! Has Facebook become so much part of our life now? Somehow it has become almost part of me now… one day without checking in Facebook, I feel uncomfortable.
So now, maybe I should get my “web2.0″ namecards printed soon… hmmm…
Thanks to Miss Kitty (Daphne) I’ve been tagged! (My 2nd meme I think!) Ha! Sad right? But no, I’m not asking people to tag me. Anyway, here’s the tag…
First off, here are the rules:

- # Post the rules on your blog.
- # Share seven random and/or weird facts about yourself on your blog.
- # Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.

Got this from a friend. It’s damn funny loh! Things men do to entertain themselves while the women shops…

DON’T TAKE ME IF I DON’T WANT TO GO……….After Mr. and Mrs. Fenton retired, Mrs. Fenton insisted her husband accompany her on her trips to Wal-Mart.
Unfortunately, Mr. Fenton was like most men–he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.
Equally unfortunately, Mrs. Fenton was like most women–she loved to browse.
One day Mrs. Fenton received the following letter from her local Wal-Mart.
I was out for dinner with my girlfriend and tonight. As I was late, I got to dash through the train station and the looong underpass aka CityLink Mall to get to our meeting destination. The moment I stepped out of the station, all I could see was people walking in pairs, holding hands and with either a bouquet of flowers or a big bear. CityLink Mall was congested and it’s so hard to dash my way through all the couples that seemed to be stuck together with superglue!
