After two years, we were back in Bangkok couple weeks ago. This time we decided to indulge a little more and took SQ instead of Tigers. And we stayed in the Space Zone at Baiyoke Sky Hotel instead of Tango Vibrant. It was a very short trip but one of the best we had in Bangkok. Thanks to the surprising nice weather while we were there. The cool breeze outdoor resembles the winter afternoon in Hong Kong and the shopping malls were all blasted with coolest air-condition! Some shoppers were even in thick jackets, which was a little over IMO.

We took the trains in Bangkok for the first time, and it sure did help speed up on transportation time; skipping the heavy traffic jams on the roads. If only they will soon figure out a way to have one standard ticket for tourists to use on all the different trains instead of having to buy tickets at every single interchange.

Highlight of this trip was to visit their newest shopping mall at Asok (right at the foot of the train station), Terminal 21. The shopping mall is HUGEEEE! The stalls at every level matches the country that level is themed after. There’s Rome, Paris, Tokyo, London, Istanbul, San Francisco and Hollywood all in one mall! Even the toilet (and its cleaners) were furnished and dressed as themed! Every corner you go to (yes toilets too) you’ll see shoppers taking photos and camwhoring. Great mall for photo opportunities if you’re heading there. Sharing some shots I took with iPhone 4s at Terminal 21.

Having gone to Bangkok for ermm… can’t recall how many times, I’m not going to blog about what I did and where I went. It’s almost a SOP for me already. Bangkok to me is a place to shop till I drop, go for daily massage near my favorite boutique hotel and eat eat eat! Was so lazy that all my photos were taken with my iPhone! >.< Just a quick post to remember the food I had during my December 09 trip to Bangkok with family and friends...
At an old restaurant near Asia Hotel. The food is pretty good and its cheap!

Way overdue! I’m back from two other trips already and yet I’m still only at my very first! This should wrap up my short adventure with Diana in Bangkok. You can find my other posts from our Bangkok trip here… Barcamp Bangkok 3 and Food whoring in Bangkok.
As the title tells, in this post, the shopaholic me is coming out of the closet! Yes! I love to shop! I categorize myself into two types of shopaholic. I can be a practical shopper (buying with a list in mind) or I can be an impulse shopper (buying because I feel like it). Good thing I am now more of a practical shopper than I used to. Most things I buy these days are either planned or there was some form of thinking process before I make a purchase. Let’s get to the point… Diana and I shopped till we drop in Bangkok! Where else better to do this than in the infamous Chatuchak Weekend Market!

Read MoreIt was a spontaneous decision. Found out about Barcamp Bangkok 3 two weeks before it happens, and within few days, Diana and I decided to go for it and take this opportunity for a shopping break too. She had been bugging me to travel with her and so we did.

As we’re traveling on a tight budget (and wanting to save more for our shopping there), we did quick math and booked a combination with the cheapest flight possible and most cost effective hotel. Saw Charline’s post on her recent trip to Bangkok and the hotel she stayed seems modern and cosy, and the price is so cheap!

I am away now in Bangkok. Came here to attend Barcamp Bangkok 3 with Diana. Thanks to Canon, I’m shooting and enjoying every moment with their latest Canon EOS 500D. I’ve got too many photos to share! Will share them more when I’m back in Singapore. Have posted some photos here. Photos are cropped and auto adjusted the color and contrast. No further DI. Really enjoying my time with it.
More about sharings about my mini-adventure in Bangkok soon. For now, I’ll try to update daily over at Where is Claudia? What is she doing? blog.
