The Canon PowerShot G1 X is one of my shortlisted camera to upgrade to from my PowerShot S95 which has been serving me for the past 2 years. It is still performing great and is compact and I still love it very much, but being Claudia, I just need to have a change of style for my gadgets every couple of years.

I had an opportunity to give the PowerShot G1 X a test drive before jumping into a store with my credit card.
Details of the camera and its features can be found on Canon website and no I’m not going to repeat them here. Just a very quick sharing of what I like about the camera.
- Big and bulky
Yes! You heard me right. I like it big and bulky because it feels great in my hands. With my S95, I am constantly reminded of how small it is and having to hold it properly so it will not slipped of my hand. With the solid body of the G1 X, I feel like I am shooting with a compact DSLR and can hold it with two hands without having to look like a “circus bear on a tiny bike”, if you know what I mean. - Swivel LCD display
Need I say more? Its great for self-portrait! - Shoots well in low-light condition
Love this especially now I shoot almost everyday in my room with very little light. - Fast
I can just hold down the shutter and let it roll! Love the clarity of all the images shot. - Love the colors…

Great colors with high-sensitivity 1.5” CMOS sensor
If I didn’t have that much to-buy and to-pay items in my list, the PowerShot G1 X would have been my immediate purchase. I’ve a month to consider or save for it. May just get it before my family trip to HongKong in mid June. Hmmm…
After going through two years of N.E.mation, my blood is still pumping with adrenaline comes voting phase! All 10 finalists spent great amount of time, put in lots of effort, perseverance and determination into their work. And now its time for judges and you to decide who wins the trip to DreamWorks USA!
Having watched the 10 clips, I’ve to say the competition gets tougher each year! Its even worst for me to decide who to vote as I’ve seen all 10 teams put in all their best into the production. If I run the mint, I would let all 10 teams fly to DreamWorks! They all deserve it! (Dream on Claudia!)
Help decide who wins! Your votes matter! 50% of the total score is from public voting. And from last year’s experience, it can totally change the faith of the teams! Four ways to vote for your favorite clips this year. Oh! And you stand a chance to win prizes too if the clip you voted wins! Pick your favorite clips wisely ok!
Home – We Make or Break.
Vote for your favorite 3 animation clips for N.E.mation! 5 and stand a chance to win attractive prizes. Voting ends 6 Feb 2011.
The company I’m working at, 24seven, is working on the digital campaigns for N.E.mation! This post is not paid for and is posted on my own will. I simply love the competition too much! These students deserve our support lah!
After an evening with Sol, my heart just can’t resists the temptation. It was love after so many sights, and when I finally got to go deeper into him, it was the route of no return.
For the first time, I’m naming my new toy! Sol, my new Canon S95 will arrive in full glory next week. Shall wait patiently for his grand arrival.
My favorite shot taken that night when I fell in love with Sol’s twin brother.
Thanks Canon for hosting us that night.
After more than a year of living with a half dead Nikon D40, I’m finally getting a new replacement for the now dead DSLR! Its for a combination of work + play.

What’s 24seven the social media agency doing this for? You’re not an event company wor!)

On 29 April, Diana and I took a day off and soaked ourselves wet (Yes! Wet!!) at the most exciting attractions to date in Singapore. We captured fun memories at Universal Studio Singapore with Canon digital cameras. Thanks to Canon of course!
Castle Far Far Away On adventures like such, you wouldn’t want to carry big bulky DSLR with you right? So we were given the challenge to try out Canon latest cameras and the oh-so-fun new shooting modes! Personally I had more fun playing with these shooting modes than the rides at USS! (I’m serious!)
Read MoreFell deep deep in love with this! I don’t know how to express my infectious feeling for this camera! One which is almost friendly to my wallet, if I hadn’t overspent on so many other things before I discovered this! The Canon EOS 7D is, as what I’d said when I first laid my eyes on it, all I want for Christmas! (Alright, Christmas gone and 7D still isn’t mine.)
Starting my very first post for Claud talks Gadget with the DSLR that’s made to advance…

After using Canon EOS 7D in many lowlight places and occasions, I must say, this is by far the best camera for all you folks out there who prefers shooting without the flash. Well, that’s me! I’m so not a flashy person. :P
