Finally I experienced my very first flash mob! Having missed a few of these actions I was determined to go for this. But I’ve to admit that the lucky draw (with 3 iPad up for grab) was a main pull of course! Though I didn’t win any of the iPads, I had a fun day walking and sweating together with Abang. :P

It’s HERE!! After 3 months since the last Social Media Breakfast, we’re back! This time in good hands of Daryl Tay and Dorothy Poon, with support from Tangs.
Happening THIS Saturday at 7PM. YES! 7PM! Not am ok! We’re having super late breakfast this time round. Perhaps it should be Social Media Beer instead! I’m sure Tangs serve Beer, please bring cash as its BYOB night! This is happening at Tangs Island Cafe on the upper most level (can’t remember its 3rd or 4th or 5th??) but ya! Just take the lift from inside the mall and head up to the highest level accessible to public and you’ll find us there!
Beside the usual discussion on social media and networking and good company, we’re putting you into a dark challenge! Between 8.30pm to 9.30pm, Tangs will be participating in Earth Hour! Yes! 60 mins of darkness. Can you keep your cool and enjoy the session in candlelight with the rest of us? Come try it out! It’s going to be quite an experience!

If you’re not going to be there, don’t forget to switch off your lights and if possible all electricity around you too during Earth Hour ok! Help save our planet!

Read MoreYesterday, after the adventure out at sea, I rushed over to St James Gallery Bar for another media event. It was not what I’d expected, but am glad that it ended pretty quickly. But the most interesting discovery was before we left and we spotted a super familiar face! Nic, Diana and I were starring hard at the Tiger Beer Model at the entrance/exit of TigerLIVE! Can you recognise who she is???
Before I show you the model, here’s why I was there. And some feedback for the organisers, PR agency and whoever it is handling the official website…
Happening on 31st Jan 2009, in-line with Chingay 2009, City Alive! 2009 will creating a big bang outside City Hall from 9.30pm onwards till late night.
City Alive! 2009 is the biggest and funkiest street party in Singapore. You can expect a night f adrenaline rush as you witness the city come alive with the transformation of the street at City Hall Front into a mega dance floor.
It promises a stellar line up of renowned international female DJs from UK and Japan and top local DJ, DJ KoFlow. There’ll also be a battle for street dance supremacy and live performances such as Street Percussion and roving acts. Remember to bring along enough cash too as there’ll be food and drinks on sale for party goers.

So how much for all the above fun and adrenaline rush? $15 for Passion card holders, $20 for advance tickets or $28 at the door by cash. Ticket price includes one drink. Sounds not bad, almost the same as entering a club. Just that it’ll be without the aircon and smokers get to smoke anywhere they want. (Don’t see any no smoking allowed warning anywhere. Especially since the FAQ section on the official website is still ‘Coming Soon‘!!) But if you need to find out more, you can hop over to City Alive! 2009 website.
Read MoreWhatever that is going to be said below may or may not be useful for you. I consulted a few friends before I posted it. After considering, I decided to do it. Purely for professional discussions and learning. Not to be taken personally. Do not read on if you cannot take constructive feedback.
I DO NOT name the agency in this post, so please do not reply and give yourself away. And readers and friends, please also don’t try asking me who they are. I will NEVER mention names to anyone. But if you know who I’m talking about, appreciate that you keep it to yourself too.
It’s the first day of Christmas and also the start of my week long of reflection and resolution. This is a good chance for me to look back to the past year and see what I’ve done, failed to do and what I should do for the year ahead.
This one week of reflection and resolution will end on 31 December 2008, just in time to welcome the new year.
For a start, here’s a reflection of (some) events and gatherings for the people by the people.
(Did a calendar for myself with the collection of photos over the year. Looks pretty nice so I’m using them here in my first post…)
It’s going to be an eventful Sunday and all you need is $2! YES! Really, Claudia is not kidding you. An entire day with lots of fun and entertainment has never been so cheap lah! I’m sure going to go! If you trust me, you’ll want to join me on Sunday too! Here’s what you’ll get to enjoy for just freaking $2!
Bring $2 and head down to the Asian Civilisations Museum. Give that $2 to the counter, get your sticker and you’ll be ready for all the fun that’s to come! Be there before 2.30pm and you’ll get to enjoy a special magic show.
After the magic show, spend the next 3 hours exploring the many wonders at the museum. If you think museum is boring, you’re so so wrong! I had an educational visit at ACM not too long ago. You can read about it here.

And the best thing will happen at around 5pm at ACM! NANTA from Korea will be performing live for all museum goers for free! I saw their performances on youtube and I can’t wait to catch them live here in Singapore! If you’ve not heard of NANTA, watch these clips and I’m sure I’ll be seeing you at ACM this Sunday!
They’re good right?? So will I see you at Asian Civilisations Museum on Sunday? If you’re going, drop me a note. Maybe we can have an impromptu gathering that day! Who’s with me?
Oh! And did I share that Jack and Rai from EIC will be there too?
There will also be bouncing castle, face painting, balloon twisters and more for the kids! I’ll be there with my cameras to capture cute moments of your kids too if you bring them along! Come come! Don’t shy!
Just in case you forgot the details…
Date: 7 December, Sunday
Time: 1pm to 6pm (Magic show at 2.30pm, NANTA at 5pm)
Venue: Asian Civilisations Museum (next to Singapore River)
Fee: Just $2!
Details can also be found at Explore Singapore
