Earn 2000 coins every hour in Restaurant City

June 27, 2009  |  Games Reviews, Reviews, Stumpled  |  facebook, games, Restaurant City, tips  |  View Comments

Please Note: This trick is no longer working after the upgrade.

Restaurant CityYes! That’s what I did without having to open my restaurant! I’d been playing the game the wrong way for the entire week! Sooo silly! And now may I share the tips I found – the short-cut way of earning 2000 coins every hour or so in Restaurant City (a game in facebook).

Yes! I had been playing Restaurant City in facebook for the past one week or so. All thanks to my girlfriend who would rather watch their staff cooking than playing her favorite Mahjong with us! Curious me than started playing the game and building my restaurant… and after an hour, I got hooked! I’m the kind of person who likes building houses (in SIMS) and stuff. So this restaurant empire thinggy got me glued!

How I initially started was to make sure I have the game running whenever I’m online and keep it on tap to monitor the health of my staff. Objective is of course to up my level and grow the size of my restaurant and the staff strength. Now I’ve got a 11 x 11 squared restaurant and 6 staff. And the money (coins) earned is not growing as fast as I hope it would. But now, I can earn 2000 coins every hour or so and needs only 2 staff! This is how you can do it…

  1. Block the door to stop customers from entering. This is also to prevent your popularity from dropping.
  2. Let all your staff rest and just have 1 chef and 1 waiter with 100% health working in the empty restaurant.
  3. Save and exit the game.
  4. Come back to the game an hour (to 1.5hour) later and be rewarded with 2000 coins for your recent earnings!
  5. Than replace your dying staff with those who’d rested and gained 100% health and repeat step 2 to 5.

This trick was discovered from a quick search on google and stumbling upon this post.

There you go! So now you can start earning coins the faster and easier way. This is useful if you’d reached a sizable restaurant and just want to get more coins to do up the place. This trick will not gain you any GP nor help you level up. So use it only if you want to grow your coin bank.

Have fun!

Why niche blogging? An analogy to facebook games

April 21, 2009  |  Communities, Social Media  |  blogging, Communities, facebook, games, Niche blogging, Thoughts  |  View Comments

Recently I spent a little too much time on facebook games. Every night, at least an hour is devoted to clicking on my mouse on clearing crystals from Bejeweled Blitz. I tried to conquer the score board, but it just seems impossible. After much cursing and swearing playing, I’m still always being ranked right at the bottom among my other friends in facebook. I felt frustrated and this kept me playing and the harder I try to push myself by clicking faster and trying to get as many hits as possible, the worst I perform. Than I became bored and will eventually give up.

Bejeweled Blitz is quite a popular game amongst my list of friends in facebook. And because of the number of competitors you’ve got to beat in order to rank high up in the score board, the harder it is for you to reach there. After many nights of playing, you might also just give up and not want to continue anymore.

Just last night, I saw a friend’s scoring in another game call Chain Rxn in facebook. Out of curiosity, I went to check the game out. And after less than thirty minutes of play, I’m ranked 4th among my friends who are playing! That of course makes me happy.

Because there were lesser friends playing Chain Rxn, my chance of getting bumped up the score board is much easier. Just like in, for example, a golf tournament. An average female player gets to bring home the trophy because there were only four other players competing. So the chance of winning is much higher.

Than the thought of blogging came to mind. There have been much talks and thoughts going on on blogging and how much better the blog will perform if its content is focused and niche. The rarer and lesser people blogs about that topic, the better your blog will perform. And for all topics, no matter how rare or niche, there *will* be a community out there who are interested in it. You just need to keep the faith of sharing about that niche topic which you’re knowledgeable and passionate about, one day you will be noticed and you will succeed.

And because of the rarity of these content, people who knows about your existence will be more active in participating in the discussions on your blog, helping you spread the words to those they know, and the journey to being known in this community as a thought leader is also shorter. Of course, the initial struggle will be hard to pass, but good things always come to those who wait.

Are you waiting to be discovered? Or have you already succeeded in your small but niche community?

The Best Workout! Wii Boxing.

April 14, 2008  |  Our Girl, Tech & Gadgets  |  fun, games, Our Girl, The Family, video, wii  |  View Comments

This was what happened on Saturday night in the living room…

After several games of Wii Sports, my parents tried their hands on Boxing. Dad seemed more like stabbing and jabbing then boxing. So mum decided to show him how it should be done.

Then on Sunday, Minmin’s favorite was also Wii Boxing. She totally enjoyed herself and it sure was a great workout for her.
