Its time for Giveaway at Claudia.sg!

This time, I’m giving away one brand new unopened (means unassembled) Gakkenflex Camera to one lucky winner! I had my hands to assemble one some time back and the first and only roll till date turned out rather disappointing. But still its a very cool camera to assemble and shoot with!

2010 is wrapping up nicely and 2011 is here soon! What better way to close the year with a giveaway here at Claudia the Panda! (That name btw is due to be changed come 2011!)

Daycraft diaries, notebooks and planners are designed in Hong Kong.

Every year Daycraft releases two new Daycraft collections, one for corporate users, the other with a broader appeal. Each Daycraft diary is produced to the highest standards of quality. Their goal is to bring you even more innovative, practical and attractive diary and planner products.

There are two types of notebooks I’m giving away. First the dairies which comes with daily and monthly planning space. Great for everyday to-do lists, appointments or keeping track of daily expenses! The other type is the lined notebooks for jotting down ideas or lecture notes.

8:22 The Pledge Moment

When was the last time you took the pledge? I did that for 12 years from Primary to Secondary School and another 3 years when I was teaching. After that it was I think once in a blue moon. Back in school we were taught about the pledge and why it is important for all Singaporeans to know it. Its part of our education and believe in the meaning and history of Singapore and the pledge (and national anthem) that brought us this far, being independent for 44 years and still going strong as a Nation. Since this year’s NDP focus is our Pledge, and 24seven being their partner, I attempted to do a video in support of the Pledge Moment. And here’s the result of a almost 20minutes struggle infront of my isight…

I know, you must be laughing your socks off right now. What’s so difficult about taking the pledge? No its not. Its the mind taking control of the whole recording and with Diana sitting right infront of me sure makes it even more difficult! But I did it and here’s the proper video with subtitle (in case you don’t understand my bad English pronunciation).

Giveaway – “Live It Up Without Lighting Up” Limited Edition Rings

I’ve got 4 pairs of super cool limited edition rings to giveaway!

In support for better health and breathe, I’ve agreed to help plug this for a friend of mine. And these rings are just very unique lah! Another way of wearing this is to slide a finger each with your love one. Redefine “Two becomes one”. Ermm… off topic… back to the ring.

A total of 3,000 pieces of “Live It Up Without Lighting Up” limited edition rings have been specially produced in commemoration of World No Tobacco Day 2009.

Each ring is meant to fit 2 fingers. By wearing the ring on the middle and index fingers, you commit to “Live It Up Without Lighting Up”. If you have any friend or family member who smokes, you can also pass the ring to them to encourage him/her to quit smoking.

Here’s one way how you can get hold of the ring:

Go to Rockin’ Without Smokin’ event at Plaza Singapura, Open Plaza between 29 and 31 May 09 happening from 6pm to 10pm.
Get a questionnaire from either the “Grim Reaper” or the YAH volunteers.
Complete the form as you walk down the Experiential exhibition.
Return the completed form at the end of the Experiential exhibition (“Fresh Air garden”) and you will be given the ring. While stocks last!

ORRRR!!! If you can’t be at Plaza Singapura on those dates, you can fill up the form below and I’ll send the rings over to you! I’ve got 4 pairs to giveaway! If there are more than four submissions, I will conduct a draw to determine who’ll get the rings. Sony Ericsson W595 Walkman phone

This phone is one of the slimmest I’d used for quite a long time. Just strangely my eyes seem to have fixed more on the phone features than the physical size of phones. In the past, the slimness and size matters more to me when I choose my phone. But now, what’s inside that matters. And boy! This slim babe has got quite a powerful inside that blew me away!

Comes with a 3.2MP camera that takes decent photos. But that’s not the point. This is a Walkman phone! If you need a camera phone, try the Samsung Innov8 or Sony Ericsson C905 instead! The W595 is a freaking awesome Walkman phone!

See this speaker? It has got two of this on either sides (top and bottom) of the phone. And the loudness of it will blow your ears away, especially since its coming out from such a small thing. These Stereo speakers gives good quality sound for your entertainment needs while you’re at home or in the enclosed chalet. But please avoid using it while you’re in public especially in the bus and train! That’s call noise pollution! Thanks for your kind cooperations!

One thing that I think I’m not quite happy with is the stiff and tiny keypads. I’m guessing the target audience for this phone are the school kids who has smaller fingers. If I were to use this phone to send an SMS out, I’ll probably suffer from cramps in my fingers. Too tiny for me.

Look what I discovered behind the slider. Usually people do not pay attention to what’s less seen, the behind of your slider phone. But I like the little details that’s added at the back. Perhaps it’ll bring a smile to whoever’s looking into the camera lens while you taking a picture.

If you ever run out of music to play on your Walkman phone, or needs something fresh from the charts for your collection, you can sample, purchase and download tunes right from the phone! With a 3G connection of course! (I’ll recommend the Singtel Mobile Broadband if you’re considering one. Personally I’m using it. And it loads faster than my Starhub one. Ya! I’ve got both! Don’t ask! It’s silly I know!)

I did few test shots with the 3.2MP camera around my house and here’s what I got…

(Yes those are lottery tickets on my table! Who doesn’t wish they’ll get lucky and strike some wins? Especially for a 101% broke girl like me.)

Overall experience with the Sony Ericsson W595 was a love-hate situation. It’s so small and slim that I could hardly feel it in my pocket. And the audio feature is cool. And yes!! The games! Boy if only the buttons were bigger! I would have cleared many more rounds on the Guitar Rock Tour game! For those who has unlimited 3G data plan, you’ll also be able to enjoy youtube videos anywhere anytime with stereo sound quality on the W595. That’s how I spent most of my time with this phone! Watching youtube videos on the go!

Macbook Air to be won and Soundtrack to give away

Remember the contest I mentioned earlier? The one where they’re giving away not one, but THREE Macbook Air! If not for the silly me who reformat my macbook, and deleted iMovie and iStopmotion, I would be creating as many videos as possible to try my chance in the Flight of The Conchords Trailer Contest!
