At 18, I wanted to get married, have a kid and a family by time I hit 24. That of course scare the hell out of my then boyfriend.
At 21, I didn’t know what I want in life and just went with the flow.
At 30 (today), I run my own career, has a cat, married and soon to wear my upgraded status. Though with still many dreams and goals to achieve, I’m a happy woman.
Onto the next decade filled with hopes and more dreams!
Happy Birthday Claudia!
Yes! That’s what we did last weekend. It’s like that when I can’t travel on boat nor plane during this period. So we imagined we were in Hong Kong and went around shop, eat, shop, eat around Marina and Suntec! It was actually quite fun and we did buy lots of stuff can? Imagine 3 days of shopping!
I’m 50% recharged from this and already started working on my dying MBP in bed the moment I got home. Very unhealthy for me, but its like that lah. I’m a hazardous worker.
More on the getaway when I’ve time to get the photos out from my Canon S95. Do have some not so good review about the hotel we stayed at. :(
In short:
- I loveeeee swimming in mineral pool! I want one in our house can?
- Lion King rocks!!
- PC Show at Suntec was crazy as usual! Better human traffic control though. Good job!
- Didn’t get to eat buffet at Melt nor AquaMarine cos I can’t eat as much as I used to.
- I want to do more of these short getaway, even if its in Singapore!
Been riding quite a roller-coaster lately.
With changes happening in life and tough challenges at work. One keeping me high up straight in the air while the other keeping me inverted ready to fall. Challenges once overcame will make us all stronger and better person. I believe we will survive!
Life’s changing and there are much to prepare mentally. How we set the foundation is essential and very very important. Foundation if not done well, consequences can be devastating. We’ve seen the good and the worst. We know we just have to do it right and all will be well.
Remember when you were younger, when your parents buy new clothes, new shoes, new undies and new bags for Chinese New Year (CNY)? Seeing them all around you but can’t wear nor use them can be rather torturous right?
I felt that way too! And I still am trying to keep to the tradition. Though some items just can’t be left untouched for too long. Like my new Kate Spade bag I bought for CNY, I already used it once! Blame myself for having it delivered to me so early!
To lessen the agony of seeing all these new things at home but not using it, I delay my CNY shopping or I buy but don’t wash it so that I can’t wear it! Ha! Smart right?
Do you still wear everything new during CNY? Or have you grown out of it and just treat it like any other day?
This year is my last year in the collection line during CNY. Of course I would like to milk as much as I can! Wahahahaha! Next year I’ll be joining the giving out line, and hopefully we’ll have a small us in the collection line by then too. :P
So which line are you at now? Jumping line anytime soon?
Me?
Eat. Shoot. Love.
The show is beautiful. Its refreshing and I’m going to do it! Not for a year to exotic places like in the show. Not that I’ll have the money nor courage to. But I am going to do it. Not alone. But with the man I love.
Everyday we wake up to this battle we fight to survive. We eat, work, sleep and sometime (once in a blue moon) gets some love. We face our low and very low. But each time we fight harder and we get stronger. (“Ruined is the beginning of transformation…“) But we forget ourselves. Who we are and what we want in our lives.
I was taught before to always take care of our PIES – Physical, Intellectual, Emotion and Spiritual self. All through my almost 30 years of life, I’ve never done either of these 100%. Never possible.
Few days come December, I’m going to try to do it, at least the PIE. No planning, no schedule, no INTERNET (very important!) and no thinking of work. I’m going to fly away with my love, and enjoy ourselves. I wished for longer getaways, but the battle we fight waits for no one. It just has to go on. Hiding it or running away from it for a couple of days is surely possibly.
We’re going to Eat. Shoot. Love.
And when we’re back? It’ll be Eat. Work. and more Work. Then of course, there’s the wedding to plan.
We believe, we were meant to be. And it’s been 7 lovely years with more to come as we move on to the next stage of our life on 26 Nov 2011. Knowing the craziness to happen come November next year, I planned to have a lovely celebration for us, for the last time in our singlehood. This time next year, we’ll have to start getting used to circling the “Married” option on forms and introducing us as husband and wife. Need time to get used to that!
Being the practical and budget couple, very rare we splurge on a fancy dinner. Trust me, I can count the number of times with my fingers! So a romantic dinner was planned at House @ Dempsey. First for us to have dinner at Dempsey. He loves the decor at House, but the food was alright. Favourite were the DIY skinny pizza and truffle fries (Clifford’s fries were better though).
Just a quiet night alone. Only for couple hours, but I like it how its just us.
