It’s been awhile since I posted “Arty-shots” aka heavily processed shots. When I stepped into Cafe Domus on Saturday morning for Social Media Breakfast 2, I regretted not bringing my DSLR. The backyard is perfect for shoots (Pinky shoots anyone?)! If I’ve time to, I would love to pull some friends there for TFCD. Sharing some shots I took with my Canon Ixus camera…

Stairway to heaven? Hmm…

Spiral stairs (I get giddy climbing up and down)

I know this post is nothing to do with SMB2. Will blog about it after I’m done with phrase 1 of my dateline. Time is ticking too fast!
Some other random shots I took way back…

Its been more than 2 months since we last saw her. We miss her very much. We have always been hoping for a call, from Wed through Fri, that’ll bring some hope for us. Due to the law that’s loop-sided, there wasn’t much we could do. And for the past 2 months, there wasn’t any call that gave us a slight chance of hope.
When Abang told me that we’ll be seeing her this week for a short 6 hours, I started planning how to spend these precious hours with her, cos we never know when we’ll get to see her the next time. And this important plan was almost blown away by the inflexibility of some big organization.
While we were driving up to our meeting point, Abang’s phone rang. My heart stopped. Cos this had happened too many times. And it had always been bad news for us. Alas, it wasn’t what we’d expected. We sighed a sign of relief. We waited for her arrival in front of Yishun 10 at 12pm sharp. After 10 minutes, there wasn’t any sight of her. I started to get worried. When I was about to get Abang to call that woman, I saw a familiar face. One which I’d missed for the past 2 months. I smiled. She has lost some weight and looks even sweeter and lovelier than ever. We united. Finally.
The day passed too fast. We played and enjoyed our precious 6 hours together. Never once I let her out of my sight. I was worried that she would have forgotten about me. But we bonded just like before. I know she love us as much as we love her. The 6 hours was filled with laughter, giggles, hundreds of photos, great time, hugs and kisses. I can still hear her laughter in my ears.
She brightens up our life. Today. And I hope one day, it’ll be everyday.
We love you Minmin!

To test the quality of my new toy I got from IT Show, I used it as much as I could today and here are some shots and comments from me…
Early morning I tried to shoot in the dark…
this one is taken in almost total darkness at ISO1600

Lots of noise when shot at ISO1600
but still able to see Greenie Boy pretty clearly.
On board Singapore Flyer on 29 Feb 2008… I attended my first ever (and last) speed dating event! I think I would have been better off being part of the organisers than being a participant. Nevertheless, it was still quite an experience.

Arriving at The Singapore Flyer
Prior to the show I was very excited and couldn’t wait to take lots of photos in the A380 and the supposed-to-be fantastics display at Airshow2008. But instead of enjoying it, I think we suffered more… even up till today!
Let me share my takes on this year’s not-so-well-planned Airshow… first the photos…

This was the highlight at the show, other than the infamous A380.
Everyone crowded in front of Mr Chinook Apache to get a shot with him.
Tonight, 10 pingsters with 2 cute korean guys went for Pizzas at MacPherson Road. There was much laughter, swearing and flashing. I’ll try to cover the night for those who missed it… as much as I can.
Here’s the story…
At 6.50pm, Claudia met Adam with his 2 korean guys, who are here for exchange programme, at Aljunied station. Soon after, Daphne arrived and we confirmed the identify of Patrick as one of us. Adam’s stomach was protesting profusely as we discovered that 2 other pingsters were going to be very late. Shortly after 7pm, Sylvia came. We took at the stairs, trying hard to control our hunger with Mentos. Finally, after 30mins of waiting, Mr Fong (Winston) arrived. So the 8 of us proceeded to the opposite side of the station to take cabs. All unsure where the exact location was, we wasted probably 50cents of cab fare going on big round and had to walk backwards towards the restaurant.
(Ok, this is abit too long winded. Following will be short and sweet...)
There sitting and cursing were DK, NTT, Chillycrap and Tstar. Everyone sat and started chatting. The entire place was filled with people our voice and laughter.
