I laughed when I was told about this opportunity. Me? In SHAPE magazine? My perception of the magazine is where the slim, healthy and sunshine-type of women are featured. The monthly cover with perfect body female in bikini makes the pear-shaped body me feels motivated to want to slim off and be like the cover girl. After multiple attempts, many of us gave up. Some things are better left the way it is. Staying healthy is more important than having a to-die-for-figure. (Self-reassurance speaking)

The 3-page story, written by Esther, shares the story behind seven women whom SHAPE admires. I was labelled as the Entrepreneur, a young boss and one who embraces work-live balance. Well, all three relatively true in some ways. But I’ve to admit, it’s not 100% all the time, especially the work-life balance portion. In such hectic and fast paced reality, and still much in the infancy stage of the business, my team and I take every project we have very seriously and put in all we can to ensure it’s success. We are more than grateful if we can have a peaceful weekend to rest!

Aside: @nadnut spotted me and tweeted my pic. And @jerricklim and @nanyate tweeted that I’m hot! I blushed. But personally, I prefer the camwhored photos with my 7D that day.

If you’d read yesterday’s chinese papers, you would not have missed this huge photo of three black humans with two macbooks and an iPhone on the cover of zbNOW (Zaobao Now).

This interview happened when the journalist from Zao Bao contacted TDM to see if anyone of us are able to share more about Twitter with him. And after a few emails, Howie confirmed the interview with Fong Wei and we met at Geek Terminal one evening for the interview. Coincidentally, I’d met Fong Wei and his photographer previously at the Volvo Ocean Race with Puma.

When I saw the article on my desk yesterday (thanks to molemole), my jaws dropped. I had no idea it would be a cover story for zbNOW and such a long one too! To be honest, I had lots of problem trying to read past the first paragraph. Too many of the characters know me more than I know them. So thanks to @melvinkee and @shenheng, we had an english translated version, which was rather hilarious reading through it. You can also find the online copy of this article in mandarin here.

In brief, the part where I contributed is on how locals whom I’m following are using Twitter. Based on my researched while I try to find all Singapore Tweeters via @sgtweet.

This is their new slogan and goal to bring computing and technology closer to you. Their mission is to create the intimacy relationship of your notebooks and you by incorporating quality, design and intelligent software.

VAIO, which used to stand for Video Audio Integrated Operation, is now redefined to become the Visual Audio Intelligent Organiser.

Sony being one of the leading leader in visual and sound, they wants not only to allow you to enjoy the end product, but allowing you to create your own products too. Packed in all VAIO machines, there are many smart and easy to use applications, such as VAIO Media Plus and VAIO Movie Story, that will allow anyone to create their own movies, photo slideshows and rich media on their VAIO machine. (Who says you can only do these on a Mac? Claudia is now a fan of Sony too! *grinz*)

It was a great great event! Lovely venue, beautiful scenery, great weather and with so many powerful chips! Very sleepy and tired now, so I shall let the photos do the talking for me. More thoughts on the event and Intel chip in the next post. (After my post on the NE Show firework video!)
