Been two weeks since my life in cubes post. Seems like life has been revolving around my work lately. Life’s getting pretty exciting!
In brief, here’s what happened to my life for the past two weeks…

Last week had been quite a crazy rush, all thanks to Lady luck and I was screaming out loud for Lady power to rescue me. Very happy that I survived. Next week’s going to be even tougher. The weather isn’t helping much, and I’d been feeling unwell on and off over the couple of weeks. This trend isn’t going to stop anytime soon. I blame it on the weather and my lack of rest.

Its going to be a rather disturbing post for those who have never seen me in these cuteness before. For those who have, this post might serve as a horrible recount of those sleepless nights where my cuteness haunted you. For those who simply can’t tolerate the sight of indescribable alien from land of ultimate cuteness, this is not for you!

Looking at the schedule of mine, and the task list that’s ever growing, I don’t know when and how will I ever have time for the usual long posting already. Perhaps only for my almost-regular columns here in Claudia.sg.
Already got so many columns here already, so I’ve decided to add one more in! *LOL!* This is call “My Life in Cubes” series. Basically its going to be random shots of my life over the past few weeks. So here’s My Life in Cubes #1…

Took the “What does your birthday say about you?” quiz in facebook. And here’s what I got. Adding in my own thoughts and explanation…
- Fun to be with. – Oh yes! Once you know me, I can be fun as hell! Don’t believe? Ask my friends for more than a decade.
- Secretive. – Ermm… ya, I’m kinda secretive when comes to more personal stuff and things that’s not to be said.
- Difficult to fathom and to be understood. – Fwah! Why must use should chim word “fathom”? Am I really that hard to understand? Perhaps because I’m a woman!
- Quiet unless excited or tensed. – Oh yes! This is pretty true. I’m mostly quiet unless I’ve a point to make or I’m really excited! When I’m tensed, well… err… ah…. ya… I stumble too much.
- Takes pride in oneself. – Who doesn’t?
- Has reputation. – Reputation is what people around me acknowledges. Not something that I can give to myself.
- Easily consoled. – Just buy me chocolate and I’ll be fine.
- Honest. – Of course I am!
- Concerned about people’s feelings. – Sometimes I think I’m over concerned about friends’ feelings. I’ll end up suffering their feelings more than they do.
- Tactful. – I try to.
- Friendly. – *big smile*
- Approachable. – This is something that those whom don’t know me or never attempt to get to know me or just siam far far away from me will never get to see. In fact, I am OVER approachable. I think I should really learn to say “Sorry, I can’t help you.”
- Emotional temperamental and unpredictable. – I’m a cancerian mah! I cry even after watching the same show over and over again. Isn’t all women (and even men) unpredictable?
- Moody and easily hurt. – It’s almost like having extended PMS. Anyone has a cure?
- Witty and sparkly. – Ermm… not quite sure if I fit into these two.
- Not revengeful. – Revenge is tiring.
- Forgiving but never forgets. – Yap, I NEVER forget what you evil doers has done or said to me. But I FORGIVE you.
- Dislikes nonsensical and unnecessary things. – not just things. These apply to humans too.
- Guides others physically and mentally. – Sometimes I think I am fit to become a life coach!
- Sensitive and forms impressions carefully. – Oh yes!! I’m very sensitive one! I know who hates me and who’s secret liking me! hur-hur!
- Caring and loving. – I shower my dear friends with TLC.
- Treats others equally. – I try to. And I will always do. This apply to the evil doers too! I’m an angel. *coughs*
- Strong sense of sympathy. – *nods*
- Wary and sharp. – I sharpen my blades regularly.
- Judges people through observations. – Sometimes through first impression I already see 85% through that person’s heart and mind.
- Hardworking. – I’m a workaholic!
- No difficulties in studying. – Ermm… not quite true. I hate exams. But I love to study.

About 15 to 17 years ago, I can be found on mIRC almost everyday. I was fat and ugly and the only way to start conversation with anyone (especially the opposite sex) was through chat rooms and private chats. There are rooms that I hung out and than I started having regular chatters which became online friends. Some even started chats over the phone. And when this list of friends grow, I had to start writing down their nicknames, real name, mobile number, when we chatted online, age, sex, occupation, school and what other details that’ll help me remind which online friend he/she was.
The beauty of it all, is that none of us ever get to meet in person nor have seen how each other looks like. (Even if photos had been exchanged online, that doesn’t mean the photo is the real deal!)
But now, although still fat and ugly, am still spending every waking hours online. But instead of mIRC, we’re now on facebook, twitter and many other networks. But isn’t things still more or less the same?
Instead of chat rooms with faceless nicknames, there’s millions of users in facebook and there are so many groups and pages you can be part of. If that’s not enough, check out your friend’s and their friends’ friends. See a name or face that you want to network with, send them a message. Once you’re connected, there’s the wall for you to show your public affection (similar to main chat rooms in mIRC isn’t it?) or you can send a private message to share your secrets (private chats). And now, there’s no need to write down how you all met, there’s the friends list that you can create on facebook and you can add friend’s details to be reminded of how you got acquainted. Hasn’t this make your life so much simpler?
How many of you 10-20 years ago, you’ll hang out at the club (e.g. Zouk) and than later that night return home, login to mIRC #zouk to see if anyone you saw or met is in there too? Nooo! Don’t lie! I know you’ve surely done this kind of things before right?! Don’t need to be shy, its part of growing up!
So now with forums and communities online, these things happen more effectively and people get to make more new friends. Taking facebook as an example, you go clubbing, return home, wanting to see if that cute guy or gal has a facebook account, you login to facebook, search for Zouk group or page and scan through the thousands of people in the member/ fan list. And there you found her! Add her as friend with a personalised message, or drop her a message first to see if she’s keen to be friend. (Wah lau eh! Why you so chicken one? Just go up to her on the spot at zouk lah! Go facebook for fack?) Well… Mr, not everyone is as buay pai seh as you, and facebook (and friendster) is the other alternative mah.
