Weekend Staycation at Changi Village Hotel Singapore

August 19, 2011  |  Travel Guide  |  Buffet Breakfast, Canon S95, Changi Village Hotel, East Singapore, Rediscover Singapore, Roof top pool, Saltwater Cafe, Singapore hotel, staycation  |  No Comments

After the first, there’ll always be a second and a third… and… more staycations! One new item added to my bucket list is to stay in as many hotels in Singapore as I can and share my staycation experience! Wahahahaha! *continue to dream*

Last weekend we took a short break at the eastern part of Singapore at Changi Village Hotel.

Feels good to be away from the buzz and crowd in town. And with the hotel near the beach, it gives us a resort style feel to it, with sighting of planes landing towards Changi Airport, from the pool deck.

Dining in the sky! (No not in the plane lah!)

September 28, 2009  |  Food Guide, Travel Guide  |  abang, Full Butler, Rediscover Singapore, singapore flyer, Sky Dining  |  3 comments

Yes! I went for a romantic dinner with Abang couple weeks ago. This is one of those things that is one-in-a-lifetime kind of experience for me. Just like my trip to Tokyo many years ago. Its just one of those things that I don’t see myself splurging on after experiencing it.

What am I talking about?

Its the first and only full butler sky dining in the World! Ya lah! That one where you sit in the capsule for an hour and dine with your lover. To be honest, I was a little skeptical about the quality of food before I boarded the flyer, but when the appertiser was served, my taste bud thinks otherwise!

Claud’s Viewfinder – Sentosa Flower Festival

February 12, 2009  |  Her Viewfinder, Rediscover Singapore  |  flowers, Nikon D40, outing, Photos, Rediscover Singapore, sentosa  |  1 Comment

On 1 February, I was out with a group of friends at Sentosa Flower Festival. Sharing some of the better shots I got that day.

“Many many money! Huat ah!”

“Bonded together”

And lastly my favorite shot from the day… “I want to be like her”

Other photos taken by fellow photographers and friends that day can be found in the facebook event album. All thoughts, critiques and trashing for the above three shots welcome. Comment below…

Here are the final selection of photos from my first trip to Kampong Buangkok. Trying to capture it before its torn down for new development. I might go back again on another day when the sky is nicer. Hope that day will come and I’ll be available for the photo trip.

Please do share your comments and feedback of the following photos. Appreciate your time viewing and your critiques.

Starting with one of my (most) favorite from that day…

Rediscovering Journey Part 1.3 at Kampong Buangkok

My Pinky:st dolls were there too!

Its been awhile since I brought them out. But looks like they’ll be joining me on my future trips to rediscover Singapore! They seriously make pretty good models for shoots like this! No complains, won’t wonder off on their own, and they will pose at whatever spot you want them to!

The Black & White series for my first trip to Kampong Buangkok…

On this road, never little traveled by locals, leads to a place that is worth preserving. A place worth discovering. The kind of place that you will never find at another corner of this small island. It’s almost like a hidden treasure for this modern city.
