Clifford at The Fullerton Bay Hotel

September 3, 2010  |  Food Guide, Rediscover Singapore  |  Canon EOS 7D, Claud talks Food, Clifford, singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel  |  View Comments

Its one of the rare rare rare occasion where you find me dining at such posh place. I had to triple confirm the location to make sure I don’t mixed it up with The Fullerton Hotel.

A relaxing sanctuary along the bay, Clifford embodies true waterfront dining with a chic French American brasserie inspiration. Illuminated by 10-metre high floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sparkling waters of the bay, guests are greeted by an opulent 800-bottle fine wine library meticulously handpicked from all over the world to accompany your waterfront dining experience.

The sound of the place already got me thinking how much the meal would cost. But it was a lunch date I cannot miss.

Singapore So Ugly!

July 3, 2010  |  Her Complains  |  #FAIL, Esplanade, singapore  |  View Comments

Caught these today and it really is upsetting. Is this commonly spotted at the Esplanade underpass? I know there will usually be group of people hanging around.

I don’t recall seeing any dustbin around, not sure why. If there were bins around, I wonder if this will still happen.

I rode on a Terrex!

June 27, 2010  |  Events & Outings, Her Viewfinder, Rediscover Singapore  |  #ndp2010, Canon EOS 7D, Media Preview, Mobile Column, NDP, NDPeeps, singapore, Terrex  |  View Comments

Never in my life I’d thought of riding in a military vehicle! But I actually did! A pretty damn cool one I must say! I was riding inside the Terrex Infantry Carrier Vehicle at the Media Event for NDP2010 Mobile Column line-up.

The Terrex ICV raises the combat effectiveness of the infantry forces with its superior capabilities in networking, protection, mobility and firepower. With its onboard Battlefield Management System (BMS), it can call upon the firepower of other land and air platforms such as the Leopard Main Battle Tanks and Apache Attack Helicopters. It is also networked with soldiers equipped with the Advanced Combat Man System (ACMS).

With Canon at Universal Studio Singapore

May 2, 2010  |  Her Viewfinder, Rediscover Singapore, Tech & Gadgets, Travel Guide  |  canon, Canon Ixus, Canon IXUS 130, Canon PowerShot, Canon PowerShot SX210 IS, molemole, photography, sentosa, singapore, Universal Studio  |  View Comments

On 29 April, Diana and I took a day off and soaked ourselves wet (Yes! Wet!!) at the most exciting attractions to date in Singapore. We captured fun memories at Universal Studio Singapore with Canon digital cameras. Thanks to Canon of course!

Castle Far Far Away

On adventures like such, you wouldn’t want to carry big bulky DSLR with you right? So we were given the challenge to try out Canon latest cameras and the oh-so-fun new shooting modes! Personally I had more fun playing with these shooting modes than the rides at USS! (I’m serious!)

No need to fly. Just drive.

April 3, 2010  |  Rediscover Singapore, Travel Guide  |  Explore Singapore, Holiday, Resort World Sentosa, sentosa, Silso Beach Resort, singapore, Travel Guide, Universal Studio  |  View Comments

During his March school term break and both of us needed to get away from the stress at work for awhile and spend quality time together. So we had an impromptu getaway to Sentosa. And we rediscovered the fun things we can do at this small “island”! Now we’re planning for one more in December! Who says going on holiday has to fly? We just drive! Or you can just ride the SEX in! Ya… Sentosa EXpress from Vivo!

While we planned this trip, we didn’t know that it was also the soft opening for Universal Studio. When we knew about it, we thought we’ll be stuck in major jam going into Sentosa. Glad that didn’t happen. Traffic was smooth and the place wasn’t as packed as we thought.

We didn’t get chance on the first day to dip into the cool pool at Siloso Beach Resort. The waterfall is enticing us to get in there quick.

Walk down Universal Studio after 6pm

March 24, 2010  |  Rediscover Singapore, Travel Guide  |  Resort World Sentosa, RWS, sentosa, singapore, Travel Guide, Universal Studio  |  View Comments

Happened to be at Sentosa on the day for Universal Studio Singapore’s soft launch. Without a ticket, we thought we wouldn’t have a chance to enter, but we still went ahead for a walk around Resort World Sentosa.

Universal Studio Singapore

There was a long queue outside the entrance in the late noon. Wonder if those folks got to go on all the rides before the theme park closes at 6pm. (Which we didn’t know when we were there.) We hang around nearby and visited Hershey’s Chocolate World, had our dinner at Chili’s and was about to leave the place. This was when we saw no queue at the entrance and people were going in and out of Universal Studio without showing any tickets! Oh! It’s open to public after 6pm! (At least that was what happened that night!) Hope this is how they roll! Everyone can then enter to shop and dine and check out the interesting buildings in there.

Locations for Wedding Shoot in Singapore

October 15, 2009  |  Wedding Guide  |  Locations, singapore, Wedding Shoot, Year 2010  |  View Comments

My best friend is getting married in January 2010 and doing her wedding shoot next week. Was trying to find shoot locations for her and it took a little time. Since I’ve got few friends who should be getting hitch soon, I decide to compile a list here. Will update the list when I’ve more that comes to mind. Also a good reference for myself. *coughs*
