Continuing from the previous post on our first visit to Bandung. Day 2 is shopping and more shopping. We walked too much that day and bought too little. Was recommended to a wrong place and went too early. Got lost with our own navigation and got quoted a ridiculous price for a ride on their public transport. If you’re interested to learn more about Bandung and where not recommended to go, read on…

The view from the bedroom of our junior suite. Yes, most are low raised buildings that very much resembles the bungalow estates around Singapore, just not as well maintained and organised.
Read MoreThat was the first questions I get when I told my friends that I’ll be away for a short trip with Abang. Yes, we went to this small city call Bandung and no they don’t serve any Bandung drink there! I don’t even remember seeing any rose syrup! All I see are lots of tehbotel! I drank countless bottles of that when I was there!
So where the hell is Bandung and what’s there that attracted us to give this little known place a visit? Before I start telling you more, here’s me and Abang at Singapore Terminal 1 waiting for our AirAsia plane. By the way, that’s the only way you can get to Bandung direct from Singapore. Way overdue! I’m back from two other trips already and yet I’m still only at my very first! This should wrap up my short adventure with Diana in Bangkok. You can find my other posts from our Bangkok trip here… Barcamp Bangkok 3 and Food whoring in Bangkok.
As the title tells, in this post, the shopaholic me is coming out of the closet! Yes! I love to shop! I categorize myself into two types of shopaholic. I can be a practical shopper (buying with a list in mind) or I can be an impulse shopper (buying because I feel like it). Good thing I am now more of a practical shopper than I used to. Most things I buy these days are either planned or there was some form of thinking process before I make a purchase. Let’s get to the point… Diana and I shopped till we drop in Bangkok! Where else better to do this than in the infamous Chatuchak Weekend Market!

Its been long since I tried stay disconnected from my connected life. And for the next 4 days, I am going to try my best to stay as far away as possible from my connected life. Pray hard there’s no Wifi in the hotel so that I will not be able to have the urge to whip out my MBP and start checking and replying to emails.
I hope to also take this opportunity to plan for the future ahead. I want to start my 28th year with a big bang! Yap! Will be 28th in a couple of weeks time! Old already!! 2 more years and I’ll hit my next big 0!
I’ve got a lot of backlog to post but all will have to wait till I’m back! For now, I’ve got a video to share… see how clear the videos are on AMOLED! Beau-ti-ful!
Check out this Jet! Video taken with Canon IXUS 110IS. Am liking the HD video recording and its compact size! Bringing it with me for my trip! Foresee taking more videos than photos over the next four days!
Adios! for now. Be back on Friday!
It was a spontaneous decision. Found out about Barcamp Bangkok 3 two weeks before it happens, and within few days, Diana and I decided to go for it and take this opportunity for a shopping break too. She had been bugging me to travel with her and so we did.

As we’re traveling on a tight budget (and wanting to save more for our shopping there), we did quick math and booked a combination with the cheapest flight possible and most cost effective hotel. Saw Charline’s post on her recent trip to Bangkok and the hotel she stayed seems modern and cosy, and the price is so cheap!

I am away now in Bangkok. Came here to attend Barcamp Bangkok 3 with Diana. Thanks to Canon, I’m shooting and enjoying every moment with their latest Canon EOS 500D. I’ve got too many photos to share! Will share them more when I’m back in Singapore. Have posted some photos here. Photos are cropped and auto adjusted the color and contrast. No further DI. Really enjoying my time with it.
More about sharings about my mini-adventure in Bangkok soon. For now, I’ll try to update daily over at Where is Claudia? What is she doing? blog.
